I know this question has been asked before, but what is the best spark plug for the Gen-1 engine. I am getting smooth tubes and high flow air filters from Sean Roe and want to couple that with new plugs. I gather the Bosch Platinum plugs are very good, but what about the 4 prong Bosch plugs, are they even better?

I had a Lotus Esprit Turbo before the snake entered my life. I ran the Bosch Plat. +4's is it and wow what a difference! I use to think it only took one spark but I am a beliver in the +4's by Bosch. I dont think you can go wrong with the Bosch +4...

I use the Bosch +4's in my T&C van and am happy with them. Was told that in a Viper, they "affect the electronics". Don't understand what that means and have not heard any further details. Plan on calling Bosch one of these days to dig deeper. Also heard that you don't want platinum plugs if you run nitrous, but again don't know why it was said.

Anyone have details on the potential compatibility issues?

I was told not to use platinum plugs at all! I don't know the reason, but to me, it's not worth experiencing. Use the Champion part # 412. I just changed mine and they work great. Doug Levin gave me this advice and he knows his stuff!
