SPIDERMAN Viper

I FINALLY went to see "Spiderman" this past weekend and I expected to see a VIPER (somewhere) in the movie..but I did NOT see any...(just the back-end of a PROWLER)..could somebody tell me what the tie-in is?.......why the contest to win a VIPER (BANNERS and all) ??

Um... money, advertising, money, visual presence, money, the showiness of a REAL viper (no Srtacism there I swear), and basically money... Other than that there is NO connection between the movie, the character and the car.
