We have modified many SRT 10's in the past few months and I have some impressions.

Biggest bang for the buck is the same as the old car. Gears, light flywheel,
air filters and cat back. This makes a dramatic change in the power delivery as the SRT makes heaps of torque.

Headers and cats add about 15-18hp peak. Some make more power under the curve than others. Do not be fooled by big claims, we have not seen them.

Add some head work and tuning and about 510rwhp can be found.

With a mild cam 530rwhp is about the best you will get. The biggest limiting factor is the intake manifold. We are working on that.

A SRT/10 with 530rwhp a slight gear and a light flywheel is a very impressive ride. Power is right there, the engine makes more torque than power and delivery is very linear. Wheelspin can be controlled in second gear and third pulls like
a forced induction car (all a product of the huge low rpm torque numbers this engine makes).

Gear ratio selection depends on the hp of the engine. We offer 3.30, 3.45 and 3.54 ratios.

All of our packages will pass a California IM240 Smog inspection, except those with headers. There is no CARB certified header available. Depending on the test station these cars could fail the visual inspection.

As I have much to say about gears in the past, I will say that Dan has said it best. 3.54 on a mild car, and 3.30 on one with some good mods. I will say if you are going to ever run a sticky tire, you really may want to go the the 3.54 This car will fall on its face, if given enough traction. Only if you were running 150 nos, plus some other really good mods could you use a stock rear end. By the way the SRT is much more complicated to change out the gears than the former model. This is what I heard, and from looking under the car, it seems so. One nice thing about the stock gear is that it really gives a nice long winded feel when you punch it from a roll, plus there is just enough tire spin to releive the load on the car, but from a dead stop it feels really overgeared.

I say work around the gearing and as you build the HP, the gearing becomes les of a problem, and more of a reward.
