Not sure if anyone is still looking for a decent muffler, but you may want to try the Magnaflow 14501. After trying a couple of different ones I settled on these. They are stainless, 4" round and 31" overall. I had a differt brand of 27" previously and they had an anoying resonance in the mid rpm range. What was the brand of the other muffler? I run the Bullet brand and they have no resonance at all. They just seem to purr at cruise speed, and when you get on it they come alive. Not trying to promote them because I sell them, I really think they are the best sounding muffler I have ever put on a Viper, and I've done so many of these in the past.
