Please see attached letter announcing a new SRT program The SRT Track Experience! These events are for all SRT owners and we plan to visit 20+ races tracks throughout the '05 season. The official schedule will be available within the next 2 weeks and we will forward it to you when it does become available.

We recently sent an email to the Viper SRT owners in FL, GA and CA announcing the events coming to their area. We will also be following up with the attached letter.

If you have any questions, please give us a call at 1-800-998-1110.

SRT Track Experience

Dear SRT Owner:

REGISTER NOW FOR THE RIDE OF YOUR LIFE! WE ARE COMING TO A RACE TRACK NEAR YOU.

It’s time to sharpen those performance driving skills. The 2005 SRT Track Experience series begins at Daytona, Florida, Saturday and Sunday, May 14-15, 2005, and we’d like to see you there. And because Daytona is the inaugural SRT Track Experience event, we have a special introductory offer just for you, our valued customers.

The SRT Track Experience is a one-day event designed to provide the knowledge and skills you need to maximize your driving experience and safety on the street, track or strip. Instructors from the Skip Barber Driving School will conduct classroom sessions and driving clinics, so you will receive top quality training. You’ll get to drive on a road course, drag strip and skid pad all under the guidance of the Skip Barber professionals. The full line of SRT vehicles (all supplied by DaimlerChrysler) will be on hand from the Dodge SRT4 and Dodge Magnum SRT8, to the Chrysler Crossfire SRT6, Chrysler 300C SRT8 and the Dodge Viper SRT10. Compare the performance characteristics of the entire SRT lineup. If you’re truly adventurous, a Skip Barber driver will then take you for a Thrill Ride that brings new meaning to the phrase,“buckle up and hang on.”

Each track day will consist of the following:

INTRODUCTION
Your day at the SRT Track Experience begins with an introduction to the instructors from the Skip Barber Driving School who will guide you through all of the driving events. At the SRT Track Experience, the emphasis is not on speed—it’s on safety.

CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION
One of the first steps involves a Classroom Instruction that covers, among other things, the physics of driving, car control, tire inspection and maintenance and much, much more. The better you’re able to understand why a vehicle behaves as it does on the road, the more control you’ll demonstrate.

ROAD COURSE
The full line of SRT vehicles including the hot Dodge SRT4, Chrysler Crossfire SRT6, Chrysler 300C SRT8, Dodge Ram SRT10 and Dodge Magnum SRT8 are all ready to hit the road course with you behind the wheel. How does the Chrysler Crossfire SRT6 compare with the Chrysler 300C SRT8? How does the Dodge SRT4 stack up to the Dodge Ram SRT10? You’ll have a chance to find out.

DRIVING CLINIC
This is where the Skip Barber instructors really earn their pay. They’ll sit next to you in the passenger seat and teach you some of the performance techniques that will enable you to handle your SRT vehicle like never before whether it’s the front-wheel-drive Dodge SRT4 or rear-wheel-drive Dodge Ram or Dodge Viper.

TEST COURSE
Here’s an opportunity to see what an SRT-built vehicle can really do. From a drag strip to a slalom course to a braking zone, you can put the entire line of SRT products to the test as you experience the complete range of SRT capabilities.

THRILL RIDES
For a flat out fun lap around the course, you’ll ride as a passenger with a Skip Barber driver who will demonstrate what it’s like to take an SRT vehicle to the extreme edge of performance. Climb in, buckle up and hang on—it will be the wildest ride of your life.

REGISTRATION
As an SRT vehicle owner, you’re automatically eligible to participate in the SRT Track Experience. However, there is a registration fee of $300 per person. After registering, you may cancel and receive a full refund only if you cancel 72-hours in advance of the start of the event. Otherwise, a $50.00 processing fee will be charged; you will be refunded $250.

As we mentioned, because Daytona is the first event, we’re offering a special introductory offer for participating. Normally, the cost for a day at the SRT Track Experience is $300. For Daytona (and Daytona only on May 14 or 15) the cost will only be $200-a small price for such big fun.

Space is limited to 100 participants per day for both the Daytona and California Speedway events so be sure to sign up right away. You can fax your registration form to (248) 553-2138 or send it to:

Some clarification:

Current plans are to have an official invite for all existing and new SRT Owners. VERY limited sign up! Additionally they will maintain a wait list for "non SRT owners" as well, but invites will only be mailing to the SRT owners.

So we don`t need to take our cars, just drive theirs. They should modify our oil pans so we can drive our own cars without worrying about oil starvation. This modification should be cheaper than the Experience.

Hell, I'd love to beat on a few of their cars! How will they know that I have an SRT if I bought it used?

I heard that new SRTs sold after April have the SRT Track experience included with the car for the owner.

I am checking on that. Also note that there was a typo in the letter - at least I hope so:

If you bought your SRT used, you will need to contact the SRT Experience headquarters for an invite. Other Viper owners (Gen I/II) can be added on a "standby" basis, however the event is targeted towards actual SRT owners.

Here is a tentative list of dates and locations:

May 14-15, 2005 - Daytona International Speedway, Daytona Florida
May 20-22, 2005 - California Speedway, Fontana California

June 3-5, 2005 - International Raceway - Pikes Peak, Denver Colorado
June 10-12, 2005 - Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Las Vegas Nevada
June 24-26, 2005 - Barber Motorsports Park, Birmingham Alabama

July 1-3, 2005 - Atlanta Motor Speedway, Atlanta Georgia
July 8-10, 2005 - Nashville Superspeedway - Nashville Tennessee
July 29-31, 2005 - Atlanta Motor Speedway, Atlanta Georgia

August 5-7, 2005 - Heartland Park, Topeka Kansas
August 12-14, 2005 - Michigan International Speedway, Brooklyn Michigan
August 19-21, 2005 - Texas Motor Speedway, Dallas Texas
August 26-28, 2005 - Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Las Vegas Nevada

September 16-18, 2005 - ****** Run Motorsports Complex, ****** Run Pennsylvania
September 23-25, 2005 - Homestead Miami Speedway, Miami Florida
September 30-October 2, 2005 - International Raceway - Pikes Peak, Denver Colorado

October 14-16, 2005 - Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Las Vegas Nevada

November 4-6, 2005 - Firebird International Raceway, Chandler Arizona
November 18-20, 2005 - California Speedway, Fontana California

Cost is $300 per person, unless you purchased your SRT vehicle after April 1, 2005. If that is the case, then your SRT Experience is considered "standard equipment" and there is NO charge. You cannot "refund" that $300 if you don't go, however you can transfer that right to anybody you wish. There is a limit of one track day per VIN - whether you pay or not. You can have one paid guest as well that gets the same driving opportunities.

Whew! Hope this helps answer some questions, and let me know if I can find out anything else for those that are interested...

Thanks Chris. Just a few questions.

1. When will the list not be tentative? I'm interested in ****** Run, PA, and am ready to sign up now.

2. Can we drive our own car if we want?

3. It looks like all the events are all scheduled for three days, but you suggested one day per VIN. So $300 buys a single day on the track, and not a single three-day event? If so, I'm guessing that the program is a one-day program offered three times at each venue, and we can pick any one day out of three days to participate while space is available. Is this correct?

4. I can bring a guest that doesn't own a Viper and he or she can rent an STR-10 to dive for a single day for $300??? That slot should be easy to fill, hehe. Can this possibly be true?

Looks like there is one in my neighborhood (Colorado) in the fall.

I'd like to hear from folks who participate in it. I'm particularly interested to find out what the ratio is of real driving time compared to sitting around time. Are they really going to let you go out and thrash their cars on the track? How much help is the instruction? etc. etc.

Looking forward to hearing your feedback.

Actually Kai, it comes to your neighborhood twice! June too. As for the instruction, I believe this is intended as a full-time instruction and doubt there will be any "solo" runs. You CANNOT drive your own car, nor are any Viper SRT-10's listed (only the SRT-10 Ram). It is a one-day course.

Here is a partial list of Q&A recently provided to your SRT dealers:

Q: What is the SRT Track Experience?
A: It is a one day performance driving school led by Skip Barber Instructors. It is an opportunity to help dealers promote the SRT lineup. It is also an opportunity for customers to learn to maximize the performance of their SRT safely.

Q: Who will be invited?
A: Current owners and new owners of Dodge, Chrysler or Jeep SRT models.

Q: Where is it?
A: The SRT Track Experience will be held at many race tracks around the country, over twenty events are in the works for this year. More locations next year, depending on demand.

Q: What does it cost?
A: The price increase on the SRT products effective April 1, 2005 will cover the cost of the program for those customers who purchase a 2005 SRT product ordered after April 1, 2005 or any 2006 SRT product. Therefore, there is no additional charge to those customers. If a customer purchased an SRT ordered before April 1, 2005, they can participate for a cost of $300.

Q: Do customers drive their own vehicle?
A: No. We have a fleet of vehicles that will be used so that owners can experience the entire SRT line up and not just their own vehicle.

Q: What if a customer purchases a vehicle with the SRT Track Experience included and the event has already passed the area?
A: We will have new events next year, and the customers are welcome to signup when we come back around. In addition, the customer can travel to any other location.

Q: What if the customer wants to attend in a vacation destination that isn’t near their place of residence? (examples: Las Vegas, Daytona)
A: The customer can register for any location that they wish to attend.

Q: What if a customer wants to bring a friend that wishes to participate?
A: The registration form does have that option. The friend has to pay $300 to attend based upon availability of open spots.

Q: What if a spouse/other want to come and watch and not drive?
A: There will be a small charge for food and any giveaways. That information is available to the customer through the information line at 1-800-998-1110.

Q: Is the track experience transferable?
A: Yes, but each VIN is only allowed one day at the Track Experience. If the owner is still interested in transferring his/her right, he/she can call 1-800-998-1110 and obtain a form transferring his right to attend to another person. After that is done, we will treat the person who has the rights as if they were the owner.

Hope this helps!
