Pulled in to my local Mobil, saw a beautiful new Turbo pulled right behind him. Little kid came over yelling," Viper, Viper." Old timer gas attendent, " Don't see many of those around." Ricer pulls up whats to race it. Mr. Turbo shakes his head, I shrug my shoulders.

Was at a stoplight earlier this evening and heard a car honking. Turned around to look. The passenger of a Honda Civic was holding out a toy blue/white Viper in her hand to show me. Pretty cool.

I gotta agree, despite all the BS about whats the quickest, the fastest, the best in performance, etc the one thing for sure us viper owners have ultimate bragging rights to is, the outrageous appearance! nothing on the road turns heads and gets attention better aint it great?!

Went to a "car show" they have every Saturday night here in Tampa. I'm driving in and felt like the Pied Piper. There is a group of about 20 people following me to my parking spot "down front" of course. It was like being a rock star. It took me a while to have enough room to be able to get out of the car. A cop is in the process of leaving the event and immediately stops his cruiser to come over and take a look. He just stood there with this dazed look on his face shaking his head.
It would be great if all of us Tampa Boyz (and gals) can blow in there one night with 10 Vipers. It's every Saturday night at the Checkers on Dale Mabry and Fletcher.

This may sound strange, but i really get very uncomfortable with all the attention these cars get. I bought the car because i like the looks and performance. At red lights i'm getting in the habit of stopping right in the middle of the cars next to me in an attempt to avoid attention (doesn't always work). There was this driver once that was so intent on checking out my car while driving that he almost sideswiped a couple of cars. I had to make a u turn to get rid of him.

On days that i am not in the mood i usually take the vette out. I get comparable performance and a very tiny fraction of the attention the Viper gets.

Had my 96 for 2 weeks (this is somthing like week 7-9...anyhow)when I was driving down the road I could see a guy trying to weave in and out of traffic to catch up to me to see the car. I was in the fast lane and he was in the slow (RIGHT)

lane. I had my windows out and was on a cell phone call. He pulled up next to me and I glanced to see who had made such an effort to catch up and saw a middle aged guy with a female in the car both starring. Within seconds my lane started moving and he was starring and started moving with me (25mph we were going)....next thing I know I hear a loud tire screetch and the person on my phone was like "whats that" I glanced out the rear windown on my RT to see the guy slam into the rear of the car in front of him as he was checking out my car. Expensive look....I could have sent him a photo.
