so my 02 gts is still not right when i have it out on the highway and open it up good and hit any bumps on the road the **** end feels really loose, front seems great just rear. It feels like both sides of the wheels are fighting with each other. Its like ya hit a little bump in the road and it just kind a shakes the car back and forth from side to side on the highway. The car was fixed up i bougth it smashed and it had frame damage on the rear and had it all pulled and new parts put on it. But problem is where i live they **** at doing allighnments, i had it in for a 4 wheel allighnment, and the guys said it was great. But im sure its not!! What would you guys suggest to do?? Go somewhere else and get another wheel allighnment??

where are you from ?

get a good inspection of the suspension first. then another alignment

how old are the tires ? have they ever gone flat and you drove on them ? tires balanced recently ?

you better make shure the people doing the alighnments are not bs in you cause the frame may not be 100 percent correct for a 100 percent correct alighnment,if the frame isnt right-you cannot get a correct spec alighnment, but you can shurely fake one on the number sheet.

Had the same problem - had it aligned twice - no good.

Finally, at VOI 9 had the Archer Bros do an alignment -

Perfecto!!!

It was the toe ...

my 2 front tires are well lots of grip left almost like new but are very hard rubber like ya said probably at least 5 years old, if not more. Should i get new ones on the front too?

It would be smart to do all four corners - you'll have a much better handling car overall. If you just do the rears, you risk encountering understeer since the fronts will push all over the place.

I drove a friend's 97 coupe at the track and its handling was best described as "nervous as a ********** in church." It had new BFGs in the back and rock hard but otherwise fine looking PS2s up front. Start with good rubber, then have the rear caster angle verfied correct on both sides. Viper Service Tools are the most accurate way to measure this.

Too hard to say. I've never track-driven a Viper before that handled so knife-edged. It took a lot of concentration and very careful steering inputs not to loop the thing at turn-in and track-out. It never would take a clean set in the corner. Under power, the rear was fine, but the front was darty.
