So, I was testing out a set of gears vs. a Vec 3 the yesterday. I had the gears installed and my buddy had the vec 3. We were going to do a short spring from 60-120. I started in 4th (perhaps I should have started in 3rd?) around 2k and then took it all the way to 4500 and shifted to 5th and he started pulling away from me...after something didn't feel right I put it in nuetral and that's when i felt a large clunking in my right rear area...thuoght it could have been a half shaft, that it could have been the drive shaft, thought it could have been lug nuts coming loose...etc...and to boot I ran over bolt on the highway and one of my tires was getting low. after a long night of waiting and stressing another friend of mine dropped what he was doing and drove over an hour with a trailer to come pick me up and take me and the car home. We got home and my tire was flat, but only had to drive it in the driveway...and that is when we found out what happened. The bolt I drove over...almost 5 INCHES LONG!!!! Ya, that clunking was the bold pushing agianst the rim and the pavement.

So....now I need a passenger side 335/30/18 Pilot Sport tire...with a good amount of new tread (the other side is almost brand new)...anyone have one by chance???

Oh and my big 30 Birthday is next week and I had planned on showing off the car to a few family members that hadn't seen it...

Thanks everyone...and big Thanks to Grayson and Jason for the help...I owe you guys!!!

Ah, the adventures we have! Not a problem, man; if I had been in the left lane and picked up the bolt, you would have been right there with me in Mr. Banks' driveway.

Someone hook this guy up with a new tire so he can start in 3rd next time and we see what headers/gear do vs a VEC3. Purty please?

Good luck hunting down the tire, durty thurty, and I'm glad the rest of your car made it okay!

Yeah, Tire Rack has the PS2s but usually guys on here have some used ones with some tread laying around on the cheap. GotOne's other 3 tires are a little worn, so I think he's is looking for something with similar tread so he doesn't have to replace the whole lot.

Speaking of...if you're in an RT and you get a flat, what do you do with the flat wheel/tire once you throw the spare on? We were trying to figure that out last night.

If the top and windows aren't in the trunk, would it fit there? If not, looks like it's riding shotgun. If you have a passenger, looks like they're gonna have their lap full :D

When I replaced my 2 rear tires, I think we put one in the trunk and had my friend hold the other one. He was complaining the whole time "The tire is pushing on my lung, I can't breath". To fix this problem....I turned the radio up louder so I couldn't hear him whine :lmao:

I was hoping that wasn't the answer. I had to change my wife's tire down here in Texas after it went flat last July...I couldn't even touch the thing for about 30 minutes. I'd hate to see what that'd do to the interior.

I guess it could ride in the trunk, but the trunk would have to stay open. We had plenty of time to check out the logistics of the whole thing and just laughed.

Bought my GTS in Ohio. It came with tons of extra/stock parts and an extra set of tires/wheels. Put the front tire on top of the spare, rear tire and airbox in pass seat. Coils in pass footwell, 4 rotors, intake, smooth tubes, and various other parts in trunk. I wanted to try strapping other two tires to glass hatch (had a cargo bag) but previous owner shipped them to me. Only thing I didn't get was the Nitrous bottles. There's tons of cargo area in a GTS.

Cute girl, 20, at "the worlds largest car museum"/Pioneer got really pissed at me when I refused to empty pass seat to take her for a ride.

Thanks folks. I need something with a date code better than 3 years old and a decent amount of tread left. I'll hit up Jon B here in a sec, but wanted to see if anyone on here had one...like Tiff pointed out. Viperdude118, thanks for the PM. I'll have to get back to you later today.

Thanks!
