First of all, I would like the Styrker red owners what they think about the paint (Ralph said there are 53 ? Out there) and would you buy it again. Still working on choices

I am most likely going keep my ACR.

Would you
1. Buy a Stryker red at a great deal.( really great deal )
2. Buy a TA or GT
3. Wait, sell the ACR and get the new ACR

I know these are apples and oranges but I would like your opinion anyway.

If one plans on a lot of tracking, get a non-Stryker color, easy to repair and paint. So a TA would be the choice. I'd go for Orange myself :)

But for the street and everything else, Stryker Red for me. No regrets, just love it. I think that many years from now it will stand out as special, as it was the reveal color for the Gen V. And it's damn ****.

I'd pick option 3. You know you are going to want an ACR when it comes out. Keep the one you have for a little while, then sell it in preparation for the new ACR.

Bob, you've been spending a lot of time in the Gen V forum, and your inclusion of color on GTS and the SRT GT package indicates you are maybe more focused on the GenV in general, rather than for it's ultimate performance potential...or you're down playing your desire for ultimate performance because you don't want to wait possibly forever for another ACR. Maybe you should buy what you want now and reserve the right to make a line-up change at some point in the future??? I'm rather fond of the TA, and I think it may hold its value well if you do decide to deal it if an ACR comes out...and you could be enjoying top performance while you're waiting! Owners say it's great on the street , even to the point of being a DD, so what's the downside?

Curious to know, what is a really great deal on a Stryker Red? Thanks!

It depends how great is the deal on stryker red, and what kind of options does it have/interior color

and if I were u, I would go for a black TA or GT

There's only a few Stryker's out there, so I have a pretty good idea how they are optioned ($134,995 base GTS w/Stryker Red paint). The TA is too much of a track car for me and would not have the options/amenities I would like, however esthetically the orange, hits it out of the ball park.

The highly optioned GTS seems to be the weak link in pricing, plus I get all the amenities.:D

Yeah, I saw that one, and I know you can get it cheaper because the Sales Mgr. emailed me (not specifically about one of the 7 Vipers) saying to make him a ridiculous offer. I don't know how much they will budge but the Stryker Red unfortunately is too far out of my budget even if they knocked 30K off it. You can get a great deal there from what I can see, so don't settle for 129K!:2tu:

Had the car looked at. They have left those 7 vipers out in the weather and they are dirty. Had it personally looked at......few issues. Walked

Smart move on your part! Coincidentally, I read a similar comment on another forum about HB CDJR doing the same thing. I guess some dealerships figured out a way to save flooring costs on a 100K plus car, lol.

On the other hand, I guess it really doesn't hurt the car as long as they carefully remove the dirt, so as not to scratch the paint. They can always put the more expensive Dodges on the floor!:omg:

Well, no sooner than I speak and they updated the site, knocking 30K ($30,418) off the Stryker Red! The deal expires after today (2/21/14), but I don't see that really happening.

Yeah, that's the one we're (I'm) talking about. I wish I could afford that, I would definitely get it, if it past my inspection!

I may make an offer but there will be stipulations since I had the car already looked at.

I'd go with 1 and if you can get a stryker red below MSRP it's worth it. The quality of the paint is incredible and you can track the car if you get some kind of paint protection.

I'm going to my fifth track next weekend- Willow Springs Raceway, the big track. It is just a beast on the road course! This Stryker Red ain't no garage queen, lol.

Agreed on needing a clear wrap. I went sideways in the weeds at 120 mph at Thunderhill Raceway and the weeds tore my clear bra in a bunch of places on my rocker. I had the clear bra replaced and miraculously not a bit of paint damage. It does a terrific job of protecting.
