I have seen a couple threads on 8" subwoofers in the pass floor. Has anyone actually done this and can show photos? I have a vega 8" that needs 1CF of volume. It would be really neet if someone came up with a new rear pc to replace those crappy 6" speakers with one 8" sub.

Dump the 8" Vega that requires 1 CF of air, you're box will be way to big. And also, forget the idea of getting bass from a woofer between the seats. There are some 8" woofers that only require .3 CF of air space. Mine was a model of Rockford Fosgate (.3 CF required). A tight wedge shaped box fitted snuggly against the passenger footwell is all that was needed with it's own amp running it in the rear. If you plan on having your top off alot, don't even waste your time trying to get bass out of an RT/10. With the top on, it's great, top off, only ok.

Good Luck

Dansauto...I have recently installed a 10" JL Audio W3 into the space between the driver and passenger seats. The back-panel was removed, a custom enclosure made, and the entire panel was recasted(in the car) in fiberglass to ensure a factory look and fit. In addition, I installed a Sony MP3 player for the dash(a single MP3 encoded disc holds ~150 songs; thereby ensuring maximum space in the trunk and no clutter from discs laying adrift), MB Quart 5 1/4 components and tweets in the doors(using the stock mountings) and a 3 channel chrome Xtant amp in the trunk. I then had a beauty board made to cover the amp as to protect it from the windows/top if I decide to put them in the trunk. I finished the job with plenty of red neon in the amp as well as above it, to give it the show car appeal. If you wish, as soon as I get some pics on disc, I'll forward them to you.
