S&B Filters + tubes
Sean Roe Cat Back Exhaust
High Flow Cats
Borla XR-1 Mufflers

Conditions:
Low 80's, Low Humidity
30 min. drive

Great people, fast service! These guys would like to host a SoCal Club Dyno event!
What should be my next mod to break 500 TORQUE?

Very Nice dyno #'s!! Some Serious Torque to!
Definitely gives me good faith in the old Gen Oners and the 95 year. I would hope my RT is around that #. I am putting some Gen II Mopar Performance Headers on and deleting my cats. Hopefully I gain a few. I know people say you will not get much out of the Gen II headers, but I am going to dyno before and after to get some accurate numbers, because the Gen II headers can be had next to nothing ($150) plus a little welding to the exhaust.

fast?

Fan in front of car when dyno'ing...

It will simulate real world driving by sucking in cooler air. Not hotter humid air in the dyno room.

I agree with those guys that you'll see increase, I wouldn't do it though. The conditions weren't that bad, I'd try to run it again at those conditions after your next mod. Assuming there is a mod beyond fooling the engine. dj

Newport- My car is at 404 RWHP and 502 RWTorque with Sean's $3100 package. Thought you weren't into the dynoing thing?!

Matt,
The curiosity got the best of me! Some day I might even floor it!
David "where's the coffee and donuts?" Jenkins always said it was a good running Gen 1. I just wanted to see how good.

Acellr8 let me know your findings with those headers!

Newport-I think you'll be surprised at the power with those #'s. With my #'s, I can pull on a Gen II who had 436 hp and he said I pull on him as hard as a 454 hp Gen II who's in our club also, because my hp #'s are alot higher down lower as to where his is higher after 4500 rpm's. Not too many people want to admit this about the Gen I. I'm hoping to put mine on a weight program before long!

Matt,
The guys at Superior Automotive showed me exactly that.

There was a way (dyno experts chime in) that he showed another car with power down low pulled past a car with way higher RWHP (40 more)
I was amazed!
It was shown as a graphic, red car, green car racing across the computer screen! Using two different Viper dyno runs.

These guys at this shop are serious racers. Lots of magazine covers ect. It made a great impression on me.

I quote them " He who has the most H.P. doesn't always win!
If anyone has have a chance stop by and check them out. Anaheim, CA

Those are great numbers, GREAT. Wait a minute.... I think you have floored it before, I was in the car with you. HAHAHAHAHA

I have the K&Ns and smooth tubes and I had 370rwhp and 432 torque. Does exhaust do that much???? I hope mine isnt just a weak one.

How much did it cost for the pull?

Newport,

I'll join you. I've had mine dynoed at Superior twice, once for a stock baseline and once after tubes and filters.

Let me know.

I would have been game with the rt-10 but I haven't broken in my final edition yet. How many miles should I have before the fun begins? This break in is killing me.

I clicked on your avatar and you are missing a seat? What's up?

I took my interior out to clean it and had decided to change everything to black, so I removed the seat cushions off the passenger seat. Anyone who has done this knows what it takes to get them off and even worse to get them back on so I just left it out for a while. Now I have the seat back in (got tired of everyone complaining that they haven't been in the Viper for XX months). Never switched to black, not yet anyways.

For 40 bux Im in too, but I am planning on headers and exhaust so if the dyno day was 4-6 weeks away it would be perfect. I'll have a better time table of when I will do the mods in a week or so. Depends on my $$ situation, its tough since I am not working.

Newport, you staying in Cali now?? Guess the new cupholder helps huh??

I want to see how those wheels look on your car, I was thinking of something similar.

I finally got all black in the old roadster. I've had GTS seats in for some time, but I just got the black dash finished a couple weeks ago. Now the only grey is the center of the door panels, the knee bolsters and the console. I'll have someone shoot a picture to post. The GTS seats are more comfortable (wider) than the Gen I seats. For my fat back anyway! I also had a couple of seat back cover panels replaced to do away with the shoulder harness guides. Since we got off the subject, let me know when you go, I just want to spectate. dj
