Temps after Belangers. RT\'s, Corsa 3\"

I took a 30 mile drive yesterday, stopped a few times and took temps, and when I returned home immediately took some temps with IR pyrometer. This was a typical stop and start commute drive, not constant ******* throttle like at the track. Those are yet to come.

Primaries 320-400 F
Power steering resevoir 130-166 F
Brake Fluid resevoir 103-164 F
Plug Socks 169-200F
Coolant overflow tank 190-200 F (Same temp as dash gauge)
Side sills 80-86 F

If any other items are of interest let me know.

I've got the same exhaust set up except I have the stock heat shields on my Belanger's.

I have a pair of shoes (size 15) that are very comfortable that my daughter's high school marching band uses and has rubber soles with a low melting point. If I touch the soles to my Yellow side sills, the shoes will leave a black rubber mark from where the rubber melted and sticks to the sill. I can scrape the rubber off with a credit card and make a little rubber ball. My other shoes' soles don't melt though.

I dont understand that. The stock cats got my sills so hot I could not touch them. Now I can hold my hand on the sills.

My American-made New Balence shoes don't melt. My Red China-made MTX marching band shoes do melt. On my bare skin the sills feel hot but I can pull my hand away before I get burned. The New Balence shoes were over $100 per pair, the MTX shoes were $30 per pair.

And exactly why are you touching the sidesills with you shoes?

1TONY1 asks "And exactly why are you touching the sidesills with you shoes?"

SUN RA MEOW answers "I'm 6'5" tall and have the 2" seat lowering kit. Getting in my Viper is like falling down a hole. Getting out of my Viper is like falling UP a hole!"
