The Michelin Challenge Series and Driving School had beautiful weather and the drivers were perfect …… we had another incident free weekend!!
The event was sold out with 10 rookies and 35 intermediate and advanced drivers filling up all the slots. Several people were disappointed that they were not allowed to enter. Viper Days WILL NOT jeopardize the safety of our drivers or their cars by allowing unlimited entries. We limit the number of cars on track so that the drivers can get the most clean track time and an opportunity to learn how to driver their Viper safely. Safety is our primary goal! The solution is to make your reservations early!! This is the third sell out in a row and we feel this trend will continue.
Archer Racing Accessories, Autoform Development, Bobby Archer Motorsports, Stop Tech Brake Systems and Team Tech were on hand to answer any and all questions that were asked.
If you have any performance questions, this is where the answers can to be found. Come to an event and talk to the experts about their track proven products and services.

Hope to see you at the track!

Unbelievable weekend with VCA President Tony Estes around to again show VCA's support of the series, and we had special guest
, Father Viper ( Roy Sjoberg ) as our speaker for Saturday's banquet. Everyone present was given a autographed poster from Roy, and I was able to share half a cigar with him - but that's another story. What Skip failed to mention was the unbelievably close racing on both days. Saturday had Mike McCann, in his newly converted ACR taking the checker , and Sunday saw John Grieco capturing the top spot. The exciting part was that both races had alot of drama, were very close and had everyone on the edge of their seats. This was especially borne out on Sunday when the first 5 cars qualified in the 1:27 range, and the top 9 were only separated by a little over a second and a half. I will leave all the main details for the Viper Days results, but I would like to congratulate both Nancy Stein and Rhonda Johnson for their super times during the Michelin Challenge Series, since they BOTH beat their husband's times - Happy Father's Day, ha.

i see that NEONS are starting to show up. I checked the viper days web site to find the rules for the neons but can't locate them within their site. are their any rules for the neons ? are neon owners & drivers really paying almost $600.00 for a weekend of track time?

Thanks for the great time at Viper days Skip. We did not run into you whiel wer were there on Sunday, but our "Birthday Boy" Michale was given a "tour" of the track (at least six laps or better) by Chris Adam. Here is a picture of Mike in Chris' car.
Check out Chris' helmet it is painted up like a Viper (snake's head).

This was the best birthday present that Mike could have gotten! He loves Vipers, knows all about them, but never even got to ride in one until Sunday! We took him to the track from our meeting point, so he got a good ride before he got to the track.
Thanks Courtney for your gracious welcome, even though your dad was busy. Didn't get to meet Jeff Ellison, his car had broken down earlier. The racing was great, even had a 70 year old in the wheel to wheel end of it! (There is still hope for me yet!)
Here are some pictures of the racing, it was all great!

Thanks again for the great time, Oh and Jon Furr and his girlfriend Heather from Fort Wayne met up with us in his black '94 Viper. We also had a '68 Road Runner join us for the day, and We all had a great time! I will be at the lessons next year for sure.

Viper Days,

What a great weekend indeed, Jeff looked as if you had to much fun on Friday night. I mean all I can remember was UUUUUHHHHH,UUUUUHHHHH,UUUUUHHHHHH,UUUUUHHHHHH. You have a great since of humor and I enjoyed waving to you as you did the three circles at turn 4, I also had fun watching Bruce award me with my woodchuck of the day. The Track was awesome , the people as usual were the Best and the drive home s--ked. Broke an axle on my trailer at one in the morning on Sunday, as I pulled off the highway at The Comfort Inn the tire just dropped off. Thank you someone up above for looking out for me that night. The next day had to sit in Gibsonia PA for twelve hours until I found an axle to replace the one that broke. Oh well the weekend was awesome and so was alls yous guys company. (And that's a Va. Boy Talking). Can't wait to see everyone in VA. Thanks Skip, Courtney, Tracy, Bruce, Tammy and Mom Thomas.See you in a month.

Jeff, Checked out Star Wars Motorsports and looks as if the shields are only available in Bright Green. Looks as if that color will not work for me! It seems as if you have been bitten by the Snake Hard. You know I wish I had another car to race in the wheel to wheel, maybe if someone wants to sponsor me (Yea That's The Ticket) than we can mix it up a little bit. Oh well for now I can enjoy the joy and fun that the advance race group has without mixing it up. See you in VA.
