The V10 head design. Who can tell me about it ??

I was asked this question on another forum, and I figured that the experts are right here to handle it.

I was asked these questions:

BTW how much more juice can they tweek out of that V10? My understanding is that the Viper heads are pretty old-tech compared to the chamber and port design of the LS1.

So how does the chamber and port design on the viper heads differ from, say, magnum heads or other smallblock mopar heads (W2)?


Sooooo......the viper heads are just cast aluminum LA magnum-style heads?

JH23JOB,

Viper heads can flow a fair bit of ported properly. Mine are flowing 317 a fair bit more than most and the power they make is incredible.

Sounds good, what's the stock numbers supposed to be like ??

stock is around 237 caldwell 270, hennessey 274, BTR 280
