I'm thinking about adding black stripes to my car (see signature below for description). Has anyone seen black stripes on silver convertible or have a picture of one? Also, those of you that have gone with the vinyl, what do you think? Do you wish you would have had them painted or are you happy with them?

Thanks

Its always better to have them painted, but I was really pleased with the vinyl ones I had on my two cars:headbang:

do the vinyl at first to make sure you like them. and at some point later you can always get them painted.

Explaining Viper things to you
I've got vinyl stripes on my GTS. There are a few spots, like around the NACA duct, inside the front fascia, at the back glass, etc, where over the years some small spots have come up. Nothing huge, but enough to make that item "on the list." Might do vinyl again, but yeah, paint is not a bad idea either.

I know I like my stripes, so permanent versus temporary is not an issue.

BTW, cars with stripes are faster that cars without.

Black on silver looks great.

Go with vinyl. The difference between paint and vinyl is negligible and if vinyl gets damaged it should be easier to repair.

Dave, who did your stripes and how much did they run? Feel free to PM me or email me at [email protected] Thanks!

I had my stripes painted with a BMW black that has silver specks. I also had the vents "faded". I have black rims with silver lips on the way. Thanks

Anyone is welcome to see the stripes on my '06 . The "The difference between paint and vinyl is negligible" is not accurate if it's done correctly. Woodhouse painted the stripes on my '06 and clear-coated all the panels. The result is an almost ridge free striped car... better than the factory stripes......

I too have a vert and have been waivering on the stripes. Don't see many verts with them. I may try vinyl to make sure i like it. I am looking at either white, silver, or maybe even black stripes.

I am having a hard time finding someone here in Colorado to do mine. I would like to bumblebee-ize my Viper.
