If you are mounting up the Pilot Sports, you need to make sure they carry the "C1" identification molded into the sidewall. If I'm not mistaken, they have additional bead and sidewall support built into the tire for Viper-specific application.

BTW, have you not heard of Zisser Tire Service in St. Louis? That's where you need to shop for Viper tires.

The idiots sent you Pilot Sport A/S tires. These are the All-Season version of the Pilot Sports and are definitely different tires than the regular Sports. You might decide to keep them if you plan to (1) convert your Viper to front-wheel drive, and then (2) do a lot of wet or snowy weather driving in your snake. Otherwise, you're going to be sending them back.

Dean and Ron are both correct.

And you now know PartsRack would have sent you the correct tires for $5 less! Sorry. NEXT TIME! Thanks.

Jon,

Not out to cost you business, buddy! However, a quick trip across the River for the Gateway guy would get save him the shipping.

The "C1" sidewall marking only applies to 18" Pilot Sports. You should see it on any Viper that has the OEM 18" Pilot Sport tires or the correct replacement.

NOTE: *** No 17" Sports have a "C-1" designation ***
