Tom\'s rear calipers

Ok Tom, they're on. I'll test them at Viper Days Sebring at the end of April. Looking forward to it.

And the piston is a snap to turn in. My stock piston was a real b*tch, same on my 98. I always cringed at having to do the rear brakes.

Re: Tom\'s rear calipers

Chuck,

I'm glad you thought the same about turning the piston in. It seemed like my old ones took forever and barely budged after 5 minutes of rotating. I think now my probelms are solved. I hope they do you well at Sebring (let us know how it goes!).

Frank

p.s. - Thanks for the info you passed regarding the engine.

Chuck, you going to drive it before then and let inquiring minds know how you like it? How did the shake & sit method work? (I'm leaning to speed bleeders as standard equipment.)

Frank, I got your cores today. When I do the autopsy I'll let you know what I find.

I've driven it already. No problems, but I'm really not getting on it on the street. Sebring will be great because I know where my pre-Tom's-upgrade braking points are. Turn one - woohoo!

Ok Tom, they're on. :) :)
Just finished with Tom's rear brakes. Haven't driven them yet, but did bleed, ran on jack stands, then bled again. Hard pedal, and install was a snap.
Look forward to driving. :2tu: :2tu:

Mine have been on.... but again this morning it is SNOWING!!

I like the change of seasons up here.... and I like the four seasons OK (not the group)... but geez, does winter have to eat up all the darn months?

The install was a breeze, and I look forward to my first opportunity at Summit Point in May.
