TOP SPEED IN 4TH GEAR IF I GO WITH 3.55\'S?

IF i USE 26" TALL TIRES? (mt et STREETS 26x11.5)

I want to be able to still run 135 in the 1/4 mile, will the 3.55's put me on the rev limmiter in 4th?

I am looking for 10.50's@135mph on the NOS...

26" diameter tires; 3.55 rear gears will be about 131 mph @ 6000 rpm in 4th

the rev limiter is at 6100-6200 rpm it seems, or is that just a tack thing?

Matt,

I would go with the 3.45 gear. The 3.55 will be pushing it with the power levels required to run a 10.50.

Matt,
rev limit is 6200.

check out the following gear page.

Plug in 3.55 gears and click on "manual" gear, plug in the 26" tires and then click on show gear chart.

One thing to also think about is that 135 trap will equal 140+ actual speed. The trap is the average of the last 60 or 120 feet (depending on the track) so you will run out of gear with 3.55's
