I have recently been talking with George Anderson at Motorsport Park Hastings, Nebraska to organize a Viper Track day in June. No details yet, but it would basically entail a day or two of track time and possibly some fun events in addition to just "racing yourself" around the track.

Please let me know if you might be interested so I can pass along some preliminary indication of interest.

Also, you can check them out at Motorsport Park Hastings.

George and I have also been talking and we think we could make this a fun event and possibly even work it into a Regional VCA get together.

The key component for the track event would be if we want to do it with just Viper owners , or if we want to do it in conjunction with another Club???

The track itself is phenomenal at around 2.2 miles long, lots of run-off and some mild elevation changes, along with some deceptive turns that are slightly banked , but few drivers have realized -- makes for really quick exits. The track also has what are called " Track Condos, " which have a garage below and a livable room upstairs , with balcony for viewing and staying overnight. Some of them are for rent by the owners.

At the last turn , right before the front straight is the " Corner Club," and this is really a Club, where after a hard day of racing, one can wander over a quaff a few brews, or a little Captain and coke , or...............................................

The paddock area is large with hook ups for Motor Homes and almost all the track is visible from the front straight. The town is super supportive of the track and accomodations are plentiful and very reasonable. Mark Jorgensen and I both instruct at this track and it is a favorite of mine --- technical and fairly fast , with some interesting twists due to the layout. The track manager/owner , George Anderson, is about a gung ** an owner as you will find anywhere in the US.

They also have a slug of go-karts out there, so we could even have a day where groups ran against each other or the clock with the karts --- mini races or time trials for extra craziness.

Obviously this would be great for the Club Members out of KC Region, Colorado Region, etc. , but it would not be a bad drive for those down in Mid South, Oklahoma, St. Louis and even Minnesota, etc. There would be no set Regional invites, but the track is fairly close to these folks and just using that as an example.

Glad Fursty is gauging the interest and post on this thread your comments and interest!!!!

I want in on the free rides. There should a good turnout of Vipers and Classic Mopars at the event.

Track designed by Alan Wilson ( who also designed the track in Toelle, Utah everyone going to VOI-11 will get to enjoy ) and there are alot of crazy , fun activities to go along with running the track. Try late night go kart runs , and there is a bar right at the track for those that get thirsty after all their runs.

Super fair price, party and more ---------- sign up for the MoPar-teee!!!

I just booked my room today. This will be a monumental event. We hope to have an ACR-X running at the track this weekend too.
