Do most of you guys stick to the Mopar stuff. My car is still under warranty, but im just wondering, if there's fluids out there that do a better job.
Thanks

A few months ago, I had all fluids changed. I'm the 2nd owner of an '03 with only 4100 miles when I bought it a year ago. I wasn't taking any chances, so had ALL fluids changed. What a difference it made too. I went with Royal Purple Synthetic with the Mopar 'additive' for the Diff. Here's some info for you. On everything else, went with Mopar fluids.......(well, Mobil 1 synthetic oil)

Thats the exact diff fluid i was thinking of putting in my car. And it has the friction modifier already in. Changed out my 04 about 600 miles ago with the Mopar and lsd addidtive. 2004- 2000 miles on it. Still hear a lot going on with the gears. Might drain it out again and give this a go.

I could be wrong, but I've heard that if you use the Royal Purple that already has the friction modifier in it, you do not add the MOPAR additive in with it.

Yes, I thought the same. Talked with my Mechanic (who in turn spoke to the dealership and some connections he had)---and we still added the Mopar lsd additive......For what it's worth--made a tremendous difference.
The dealership even recommended the Synthetic Royal Purple.....supposed to be the best...... All other fluids, I went with Mopar.........Sure I got 'greased' pretty good on the "Mopar Coolant" from the Dealership. My Mechanic is also a great friend, so I know I saved BIGTIME over the dealerships and the quotes they gave me on labor/materials to change out all fluids.......... Didn't think just changing out fluids would make such a significant difference. Car ran MUCH quieter (less valvetrain noise), a vibration in the steering wheel from while under heavy load (a.k.a. A/C on in summer) went away, etc., etc..... Best money I've spent to date on my dream car!!

Best of luck to you. Sorry, self-indulgent gratuitous picture of my ride....Can't help it.......Love her!! Greg

I have the exact same car, I'm going with Amsoil diff and trans after hours of reading. I will add there lsd friction modifier. I've tired of spending 80 bucks on syntorq and bending over at the dodge dealer. Amsoil isn't cheap, but I'm looking forward to different results.
