I recently installed the Trunk Carpet Kit and the short throw shifter. Both Recommended. The carpet kit makes the trunk look a little more "finished". I am not sure why they didn't do it in the first place... Weight? Don't think so.
The short throw shifter is great as your hand is on the stick while your arm is flat on the console.

I am with you 100% Did the trunk kit right off the bat. Of course, how could you POSSIBLY go wrong with anything from MGW? :D

The trunk kit fit right off the bat, Although they forgot the Velcro attachements for inside the car... 2.00 local hardware store. The Shifter just screwed on... Could not have been easier.

Where do you buy the shifter? It looks great - it just screws on?

Thanks for the pictire of the shifter. It looks great ! I bought one for mine, but can't get the old one off so my wife makes me wear it around my neck. Still looks good, but wish it were on the car !

I bought both and a 6 point harness from partsrack.com. I have not installed the harness yet but it looks very cool. The guy who runs it appears to be one of THE most knowledgable guy on vipers I have talked to. I have checked around and he seems to have every upgrade part you can buy for the Gen III. Very satisfied.

The shifter knob on the shorter stick is almost identical with the exception of the snake on the top. I am not sure if you can get the standard shift pattern or not.

George...Woodhouse delivered my SRT yesterday. Before I even drove it around the block my Gripper shifter was in place! What a great piece of machining. Just though you might like to know where you fall on my priority list.
