Hey, excuse me I just need to vent!

The recall on frames, yeah, we just got a letter from UK HQ covering their a** to say contact your local dealer re the issue. OK, took a journey ...they knew nothing, said they'd get back to me, and 3 weeks later, and them promising to phone (several different times) and me waiting in for their call, no news yet! Seems HQ are just covering their a** legally by passing it onto untrained Viper tech dealers!!

They won't even supply me with the recall kit parts.

Send me a visa for the US!

Have you even seriously considered a move to the U.S.A.? Seems like a good fit, but then there's the traditional anchors like family, job, home, etc.

I have felt right at home every time I have visited England (part of that was the climate, the rest was the super nice people I met there).

Joe, I've thought about it, but you're right about those anchors; family and pets and friends. I would actually earn more in my profession in the US than I do here in the UK, and your cars and gas are way cheaper too.

Craig, It's raining hard hear as I type! When I've been to the US I've only ever met nice people too.

Tom, you sure know how to tempt me!

But, in the mean time any ideas for dealing with Chrysler UK?

My offer to marry you is still open Nadine, and you could
still go back to visit your anchors.

Have you checked the welds on your car to see if you need the recall done yet? I would think that with the new front end you're OK there and the rear welds shouldn't be a major concern, unless you've done a lot of dragging with slicks.

This buys you some time for dealing with your dealer. Obviously you can get good frame work done, so all you really want is the parts (if your dealer doesn't even know or care then why would you want him to have it done). I would go so far as to say you could get one of our techs to measure the parts and you could make them yourself. They are pretty simple. The main thing is to get them in the right place.

Maybe one of our good dealers could even send them to you?
