Okay, thanks for the update--Is there a website or something? I don't remember...

What's the Porche setup? Any details? And where is SoCal Rebell running?

Hi gang, just got into Vegas with SSpeed Racer and man what an ordeal this has been. Our ABS brakes went out the first day, as well as lossing our rear brake line the first day. We are trudging along doing the best we can and have managed 3rd place in T1 with one event to go. Paul Mumford is well in 1st place in T1 and tied for first overall, against race prepped cars with race rubber. The gent in 2nd place is a hired gun running a well prepared ZR1 and is a retired NASCAR driver who has run the Daytona 500. Even with our brake problems we were just 79/1000ths of a second behind him for 3rd place in the day's run(Mumford always has first). Tomorrow is the final test, GO VIPERS.

6am and we're up and ready to leave for Las Vegas Speedway and the last event. Being absolutly exhausted last night I forgot one VERY important thing, a HUGE thanks to JoeB who came out to the track Thurs. at Thunderhill and Fri. at Buttonwillow and helped us out immensly. When we franticly tried to get the ABS fixed at a Dodge dealer (unsuccessfully) Joe went 70 miles out of his way to bring us the brake fluid we forgot as well as helping out in the pits the two days and making life easier on two tired racers, THANKS JOE, you Viper guys are a special bunch.

John and Ron called me this afternoon. They finished 3rd, just narrowly missing 2nd behind the heavily modified ZR1 (550 hp?) with NASCAR driver. Paul finished 1st. Great job guys!

Ron and Jon and Paul,
What a blast!! Congratulations to you guys. What a grueling time. I commend all the participants for their stamina for one week of racing every day and then driving some long distances at night. I was exhausted after just two days. The competition is so fierst.

Also, a special thanks to Stop Tech's Matt Weiss who came to Button Willow to help the Viper cause. Paul Mumford's car had a stripped bolt on the brake caliper which he tried to fix in between runs. I got to assist him while he worked Paul's car and he showed me the system and all the little things that make this a great system. Is that customer service or what? Soon I will be installing Stop Tech's on my car.

And last but not least, a special Thanks to SoCalRebel for a Hell of a ride at BTW. The Mark of Zorro.

Again What a Race!!!
