Hello everyone,

I have been lurking for some time and browsing the classifies ads and noticed a wide range of prices for used snakes and big difference from dealer to dealer on new/used snakes. Below are the prices from KBB and Edmunds.

Edmunds 1999 GTS
Trade-in $49,569
Private Party $52,464
Retail $55,358

KBB 1999 GTS
Trade-in $56,065
Private Party $61,565
Retail $66,045
Average used 1999 GTS price on Board: $59,143.00 (ACRs excuded) n=8

Edmunds 2000 GTS
Trade-in $56,998
Private Party $60,096
Retail $62,956

KBB 2000 GTS
Trade-in No Data
Private Party No Data
Retail No Data
Average used 2000 GTS price on Board: $65,730.00 (ACRs excuded) n=10

2001 GTS Pricing
MSRP $73,000
INVOICE $66,330
Average used 2001 GTS price on Board: $70,148 .00 (ACRs excuded) n=7

Couple of questions:

What is a fair price for a 99, 00, and used 01 right now.

Uses the assumptions:
Car has never been in a accident, no paint/bondo work
1999 has less than 15k
2000 has less than 10k
2001 has less than 5

Another thing I noticed is that neither KBB or Edmunds recognized the ACR package, anyone have any insight??

Why is every snake listed in the classifieds high than the above price, are KBB and Edmunds way off??

Any other insight on used snake pricing would be greatly appreciated?

Thanks

Yes, Edmunds appears to be off the mark of current asking prices. If you're looking for a '99 or newer GTS and want the lowest price, you've essentially narrowed your search to a '99.

Next, you should be able to find a '99 through a motivated private seller at a lower price than what most dealers are asking. The going rate for a '99 in top condition will be approx. $60K and then you must factor tax, license, etc. The total bill will most likely come to $66K [conservative] when all is said and done.

I bought my car a few months back and quickly found the price in the 70's when the full tabulation came up.
