I hope you aren't serious about $150k or $100k...

It will be worth far less then the MSRP of $90k once you make it yours. These aren't for investment purposes, they're for fun. Anyone who thinks they can make money flipping one of these is crazy.

BWAHAHA 150K

The car has no history NOTHING! What has the SRT accomplished besides being a blah version of the most badass American car ever? Does it race? Nope. Does it strike fear into other car drivers on the road? Probably as much as a miata.

Neato color combinations are sticker/interior packages are a corvette thing.

Bring back Lutz.

$150,000, I do hope that was a joke (between you and I, I think it was). This car will be worth NOTHING more than a regular SRT-10. What justifies a $89,995 MSRP plus all the taxes that have to be paid bring the car to $100,000. WHY??? The car is UGLY in that color and there is nothing special beside the color. Look at the Mamba version. Dealers charged over MSRP for the most part and now look at them. You can not pick them up NEW, UNDER MSRP. The same thing is going to happen to this car unless the buyer really wants this car, and to tell you the truth, I have no idea why they would. People have been asking for a PLAIN yellow version and instead Chrysler sends us a yellow with a UGLY black strip and UGLY black wheels. Seems like they are not listening but that is just my two cents. Sorry but I would take $100,000 and put it somewhere else.

F355,

You surely are entitled to your opinion (especially since we're talkin joisey guy to joisey guy)...

but to compare this to a white mamba is not really a good scenario, as there are only 46 being produced, with an unbelievably unique paint scheme, with a VERY custom interior, and EXTRA special badging (VCA edition!).

Take a look at the VCA edition SRT-10 Rams .... VERY COLLECTIBLE!

I guess we'll all see very soon!

I LOVE THE CAR..... I like Black Chrome wheels (just did a Viper set in fact!) I like the black hood panel, reminds me of the big-block Cuda days....The panel begs for some additional decoration. I may try to snag 1. But CONSIDER:

1998 GT-2, serial numbered 1-100, 2 in museums, commemorated SOMETHING BIG. Lots of accessory mods, interior and exterior. Even the most knowledgable observer was stunned when it took 3 auction attempts to finally get a SIGNIFICANT offer over 100K, at B-J Aution, with LOTS of hype. (The top bid was actually a mis-understanding ill-researced bidder.) They remain very collectible, and sell ABOVE the original sticker price today...the only Viper to do so.

With only 252? 1992s, 1st year cars, THAT amazes me that they are so deflated now. The 1992 should one day be almost as significant as the 53-Vette. (I only sold my 2-digit 92 becasue Mr. Iacocca wanted it. I could NOT refuse him.)

The "Raffle Cars" as far as I know have not been stratospherically priced, even tho they are literally 1-of-1.

97 RTs? Under 60 of each. Selling below OE MSRP.
Final Editions of 360? No bump.
ACRs (~200/year) the +$10K is worth $1000 over std GTS
Mamba? 200 not rare enuf. Great, rare car selling new at below MSRP.

My bet is that the 1/46 rarity will keep the value at-above sticker for a long while, but not stratospherically above. As a co-founder, I LOVE the club, but as far as added collectibility of a 'club' car? Nuh-Uh. I hope I get 1, and I hope I am underestimating about the value.

The only way it would be more valuable if it were special edition with significantly greater performance than the stock version.

I agree with F355, since the color scheme isn't extremely desirable, it could very likely be worth less than other SRTs in a few years.

it says that u can buy one from ur dealer at msrp, if ur one of the lucky raffle winners. does that mean the dealer can technically sell it for less? what will they get it for?

Ok, newbie style question here: How can it be so "special", if any paint shop can do the "simple scheme", and any interior shop match it? ( Not to sya it is easy, but like it has been mentioned, unless performance is significantly greater, this car really isn't " all that ".

The question is "how much do you want to pay for it?"The carbon car, with 625 H.P.,will be in the 110k range, when its put out.Baby steps. There are lots of buyers who like this VCA srt,and demand will be above those produced,no doubt.

It will have a super cool dash plaque while the clones will not.

Technically you could clone any part of that car that you wanted, including the dash plaque. For that matter, think how easy it would be to clone a GT-2 ('98 white/blue) if you really wanted to. The question becomes whether it is worth it financially to make those "mods". My guess is that by the time you do the paint, wheels, graphics, and interior that you would spend more than what this car costs. And that is assuming they produce a "regular" one in yellow to begin with (orange??).

The SRT Ram was different in that they were basically the first SRT Rams on the street and came in THE Viper color combination of blue/white. And were delivered at Daytona with the very first runs by the new owner on the Speedway in front of the grandstands. The VCA SRT-10 is awesome, but does not compare in "freshness" (Viper SRT-10 is relatively old news), color scheme (compare roughly 2100 blue/white GTS's to the 200 yellow/black GTS's on the road), or delivery (Dallas is great, but is not the Daytona 500).

The highest value the VCA SRT will have will be IMMEDIATELY after they are delivered on September 9th. Not a month later, but that very same week. Sure, you will see a couple guys try to sell theirs after they are announced June 16th, but that is it. And the price I personally think they will command at that point? $89,995 (sticker) or very, very slightly above. And it is all downhill from there, just like any other Viper.

The bottom line is that if you are signing up for this car for profit and collectibility, you might want to invest elsewhere for a greater return. If you want this car because you like the exclusivity (white Mamba, Final Edition GTS) and the color scheme - go for it. As they say, "Never invest
your money in anything that eats or needs painting."

By the way, my wife really, really likes this SRT. ;)

Wow, that will be interesting. Are you going to be like the guy that bought the name rights to the Ford GT-40 when they ran out and Ford did not renew their rights? Ford asked him what he wanted so they could use the name again on the forth coming Ford GT. He responded with something stupid like he wanted $5 million, and the first 5 or 10 Ford GT's. Are you going to get the first 5 Yellow Fevers and a fistful of cash?

The black Corvette "Stinger" on the hood and the black chrome wheels are the only things disappointing on this VCA Edition. The Yellow is awesome, the interior will be awesome, only wish it would be a "hopped" up version under the hood. Sticker package special editions have shown in all past production runs, Mustangs, Vettes, Camaros, etc...they end up being just that...a cool car with different stickers.

Now, one surefire way to make it a very special car ....is if DC, or who ever calls the shots, makes sure that there is NEVER EVER another yellow SRT-10, SRTGTS or SRT Street Coupe whatever it will be called, is EVER produced...EVER!

Did I say NEVER EVER ANOTHER FACTORY YELLOW CAR is the ONLY way to make this VCA Edition ever worth anything more than a basic SRT-10 with cool stickers?

The car and the idea is pretty cool. It is VERY cool that VCA went to the table and made something special happen again, especially after the Blue and White Truck resale problems. It's a cool enviroment to be in when you belong to a small group like the VCA and they have the pull to get one of the BIG BOYS to make you 46 unique cars.

VERY WELL PUT!!! This car is just going to go down. It is not going to be much more than a regular 2004 or 2005 SRT-10. Nothing special and a bad color. If I got a good deal on it I would repaint it. That is how much I hate the color LOL!

The idea is there but the product is not good. I like the fact just as well as all, that DC is trying but I mean they need to try harder. This color is one of the worst possible. Why not have made the plain yellow versions that EVERYONE has wanted and make it limited edition if they wanted? They would sell A LOT better and probably hold their value a bit more because of the desire for them.
