Sweet Video Ben ! What does your RT put down without the N2O?

Did you buy your RT with the SC , or did you have it installed ?

Did you subtract some power? I thought you were at or extremely close to 998 to start with.
Still looks good anyway, you are planing the trip to bowling green, right?

The power difference is probably due to running the dyno on street tires rather than slicks -- they spun on the dyno earlier. However, we won't know until next time we take it to the track.

Congrats on your runs, BTW -- you guys are kicking butt in the 1/8th!

intresting, however it still puzzles me as to how the car's tranny and suspension can hold under that much hp. And ben, why you havent gone up to at least a lenco or qualife. And stregnthend the chassis.

Suprakid, I am surprised you ask this. The Titan Motorsports Supra is running a stock tranny and rear end. I called them and asked since the car was sofast. I figured it was tubbed/etc... I guess its not. Ben has, by the way upgraded his differential. I do not know about his trans.

Man that is one awesome pull.... if only you could have got Refrigerator Perry to sit in the trunk, you'd have cracked the 1000 mark! Tire slip's a bummer on the rollers (as is clutch slip). There's no doubt the 1000+rwhp is there though - well done DLM!

I got the info I was told by Viper10 that the stock tranny and rearend on a viper are rated at less than 600hp.And that for the amount of hp that you are making youd need at least a Lenco or Qualife at the minimum

Where the hell are you getting all your information from???

If DLM is so great, then why can't he break 10 seconds in a 1/4 mile to save his life (with Doug Levin driving)... when a car with that HP should be turning low 7's with ease? Ask him why Doug left the stock tranny and rearend on a 1,000 HP when they are only rated to less than 600 HP? Ask him how easily the car handles under full throttle while the chassis is twisting in the wind like a pretzel?

In a car with an engine of that magnitude, he should have at minimum a Lenco or Quaife transmission and a Halli
brand adjustable 4-link suspension with chassis stiffiners all over the place.
this was from a discussion on www.rallyfreak.com

As for the supra tranny thats what was told to me by many i mean MANY supra owners and tuners. That the stock getrag six speed tranny the same one thats on the nissan skyline R34 GTR Vspec II is VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY strong and can handle upwards of 1200hp but anymore than that it needs a new one.

Again I can be wrong.

Also i was wondering how much hp did your supra make with the GT2835 twin turbo set up on pump gas (91-93 octane) and at what PSI? i might go with that setup thats why im just wondering.

Just because Getrag made the Skyline and Supra transmissions doesn't mean they are the same. Especially since the Skyline GTR is AWD. Last I checked they were not the same. And the RWD Skyline GTS is a 5spd...

the best part about his argument is the fact that many tuners, owners, cousins, friends, dogs, etc. told him that the supra tranny can handle 1200hp, and ONE viper owner tells him that the viper tranny and rear can only handle 600rwhp so it is true as well. talk about gullable ;)

My good friends, cousin in law who is about to get married to a imigrant from Georgia, has a boss, told this one guy that....

By the way...I talk to Jesus (1000hp supra) on occasion...and personally know many other local supras that are well above the 600rwhp/tq range. Your information is less than accurate and should really be better researched.

No offense, but you shouldn't believe everything you read on "rallyfreak" :) The "low 7 second" estimate alone is hilarious -- a best case for my RT, with big tires and an auto tranny, would be high 8s.

At any rate, both the Supra and the Viper use a T56 6-speed. Getrag makes this tranny in many different variants, each with its own torque rating. Neither the Viper nor the Supra variant is rated for 1000 ft/lbs; both have shown to hold up remarkably well under such conditions, but both will eventually fail.

As for the HKS twins, for street use I'd honestly recommend a small/medium-sized single (SP61?). The lag on those HKS turbos was a killer... I had my choice of bog or wheelspin at any street-legal speed. A small single making high-400s at the wheel would have been a far better choice.
