For some reason I can't ever seem to get my GoPro to be working all the time. I bought extra batteries since the original only lasts about 45 minutes. And since I had extra batteries, I didn't bring my laptop to the track. So, of course my memory card filled up after the first run on Sat, and I couldn't delete older videos until back at the hotel on Sat night. Overall, the groups at NASA are slower than NARRA. I ran in group 2, but rarely got any good laps in because of the difference in lap times from the faster cars to the slower ones. I could start in the top 2 or 3 and be lap traffic by the second lap. I know my lines are off on a lot of laps. I was playing with different lines and giving the cars I came up on plenty of room. I had some cases where people would hit the brakes way earlier than expected or slow in the middle of a turn, and it wasn't worth it to be up close on them. Definitely still a fun weekend, but I'm really looking forward to trying Chin Motorsports next month and also NARRA again next year.

1st run on Sat

1st run on Sun. Lots of traffic, but I did manage to get a best lap of the weekend in (1:46). Sorry if you don't like the music. I was bored and it was helping to try to keep me "in the zone". ;)

2nd run on Sun. Track surface warnings almost immediately and then red/black flag and canceled session.

Last run on Sun. Due to the time it took to clean up the fluids form the track, they had to combine groups 1 and 2.

Well, apparently my attempt at embedding the videos from youtube didn't work too well. Links are in there now.

I've found some videos on youtube from others that were running in my group. I recognize most of the cars and know they are ones that I passed every session. The funniest part is that not one of them shows me passing them. They all show parts where they are passing, but cut out / cut short any parts of them being passed. WHO CARES? I was getting passed left and right a NARRA. I post everything I've got from the green flag to the checkered flag. It's all about fun and learning.

Yeah, you can almost tell the folks who have their GoPro going.....they won't let you by for fear of "ruining" their video..... we all get passed....the only guy who doesn't is that 1:27 GT-R! ;-)

Found it. https://vimeo.com/44523238

It was fun running with the guy and very interesting to see that car do super-human stuff. Check out 1:54, 3:28, 3:44 and 3:57. If normal cars got that squirrely, they would likely have gone off....the GT-R corrected these indiscretions pretty well. Maybe the chap was just testing out the nannies, but it seemed like he'd get more out of shape when I was pushing him.

Anyhow, impressive cars indeed.
