Vin Registry ??? YIKES what do I own?

Just looked on the vin registry and saw that the first R/T 10 vin was WV400050 but the vin on mine is WV400020

Any thoughts? I have checked all my paper work and the car and the number is correct .

Seriously I don't have the slightest idea. It is a 92 right? Have you looked up all the previous owners or are you the original owner?

Its a 1998, had Chuck check out the vin and it came back clean-verified the previous owner. You know- did all the steps I was told to do before I bought it.

From what I understand the Vin sequence isn't determined by build order - hence your #20 could very well have been built after #50 and #100 could still be after the both of you. I think the very first VIN issued for an RT that year was #50.

Craig, I think you hit the nail on the head. My 98 Dodge Shadow is serial #WV400019 and it was supposed to be the last one built. Dang, until now.
