'Viper black' touch up paint?

\'Viper black\' touch up paint?

Got home the other day and found a small chip in the hood. Nothing major, but through the paint - showing white on black. I know that the black cars are referred to as "Viper black clear coat" and that there are a zillion different shades of black. Question: Has anybody had to order the paint, do they mix up a bottle at the dealer, or do you just buy some black touch up paint at your local auto parts store? Curious...

I believe if ya give the vin to the parts guy he "should" get it right. thats what i did on my 02 durango R/T

Paintscratch.com Perfect match every time, Obviously the SRT is very new, but they had my M5 Carbon black paint within the model year it was introduced. They have small bottles with brush and clearcoat and spray with clear coat and they answer questions via email or very quickly via phone, very satisfied with them.

I tried the Auto Sharp Pen paint touch up for my black SRT. It works very well. The paint code for 03 Viper black is PX3.
