Sorry this is taking a bit longer than I anticipated. I am doing this one solo this time and am just swamped. Nonetheless, here are a few things to note:

1. LAST CALL for pictures if you want to see your car on the first run of the calendar. E-mail me high resolution shots along with the year of the car, your name, and your location (city/state).

2. I am going to give you a "sneak peek" of the calendar cover I have been working on:

I am still toying with it and am debating whether I will reduce the size of the plates and add more quantity. I have well over 250 Viper license pictures that I have shot over the years - none of these were taken by anybody else. NOTE: If you see your plate and do NOT want it on there (although I can't imagine why), let me know. Conversely, if you would like your plate on the cover and did not attend VOI 6 or 7, feel free to send me a picture (big). If you did attend VOI 6 or 7, let me know what your plate is (including the state) and I will see if I already have it in my personal archives.

3. I am plugging away on this and will work on it over the weekend again. Orders will begin next week and you will have your calendars well before the holidays. If you have not seen the page for this project, please check out the Viper Calendar Project Page and see how this is all coming together.

Thanks for your patience - it will be well worth the wait!

Okey dokey! I have updated the Viper Calendar Project Page and we now have 150 images and counting. Not bad! If you have recently sent me pictures and they are not on Page 3 , this means that the picture was either too small (low resolution) or that it simply did not transfer over well. Feel free to resend the picture if you wish.

Speaking of pictures, there are two additions of note: Number 150 is Gary Lister's awesome 900 hp DLM Gen I. Spiffy, eh? Number 147 is one you just may want for the month of December for your calendar. Here is a closeup:

My thanks to Eric Lee of Latham Motors for sending this great picture. There appears to be FOUR Final GTS's there. Cool!

The order process is open, just be SURE to read the Viper Calendar Project Page to see what you need to do to place your order. Thanks for your patience!

Thanks for taking this project on again, Chris. I hope you know how much we all appreciate this.

I've looked through the photos on your link. While there are many great additions, a couple of the pictures I selected from last year that are, unfortunately, of poor resolution (for a calendar) are still there.

I'm not so bothered they've not been removed, but I'd sure like to NOT repeat the same mistake this year. Is there any way to ID or reorganize the pictures so we could have some expectation of the photo quality, in advance, of the calender shots we've selected? Maybe a separate link to the real images so we could right click and see the properties of the real picture (as opposed to the thumbnails)?

For example, the shot of Nadine's car truly is classic, but I was pretty disappointed with the print quality because the resolution simply isn't there.

I add my thanks for all the effort you put in to this for the club. It is the best deal going, love to see all the different
Viper shots!

I sent you a 'newer' photo, a couple of times. Did you get it?
Was the density/quality high enough ?

also #118 and #135 appear to be the same photo.

Have a Very Enjoyable Thanksgiving Chris and
all the Viper owners!

Y2KGTS, I see Eric has the name of the dealership in the pic for all intended purposes. Before you decide on pics, it might be useful to make sure representation of the calendar is with the right pics. Your doing a great job on the calendar. We all appreciate it.

Can anyone tell me whether Y2K is having problems with his email. I sent calender pics 45 days ago (still not displayed) and have followed up several times and have yet to hear from him.

Wayne, I have decided that it is not my place to "edit" pictures out unless they simply won't print well on the calendar format. For example, one gentleman sent me pictures that I thought weren't quite what we intended (not really a Viper picture per se), yet I put them up anyway. Like you, I have had less-than-great experiences with certain dealerships, including the one in question. Nevertheless, they are a dealership that advertises with the VCA and is in good standing as far as I know. More importantly, the picture is not an "ad" for any dealership, but shows Santa Clause with not one, but FOUR matching Final GTS's (and a red RT/10). That the dealership name happens to appear is not necessarily intentional. Nor is there any mention of the location (state or otherwise) or phone number advertising the dealership. It is a great picture and one I think is yet another good choice for inclusion in the calendar.

Jack - I will drop you a quick e-mail. The most recent e-mail I have from your address ([email protected]) is dated February 25, 2002 at 11:41:57 PM CST, regarding your previous calendar order. I show no other e-mails since then, nor any with "Jack B" or any variation thereof in the content. Try again, and thanks!

Chris

PS to Zoomie: The previous pictures showed an "invalid jpeg marker". I am trying them with a different photo editor tonight...

Picture worked GREAT! I am redoing ALL of the pages, as I need to add a fourth for pictures 151+. Just trying to scrape together a few minutes to get it done!

Well, I have been working on the calendar for the last 2 days straight. I am redoing ALL photos, as well as ALL of the thumbnails. The thumbnail photos in the gallery will soon have "ratings" of how the picture will print. They will be graded as to quality so that you know which pictures will print the best. Also, I spent most of today redoing the cover shot:

I think it is pretty darn cool. I may even make it into a poster for my garage, as it is done in a VERY large format (this is just a small version that I could post here). I have another 15-20 Vipers to add to the gallery and will get that done ASAP. I already have the thumbnails done (and graded), I just need to get the rest graded for a massive update all at once.

Thanks for your patience!

Chris
