The site contains information on the 2003 Competition Coupe including: purchase procedure, specifications, features, competition, legacy, and contact information. You'll need a "Flash" plug-in to view the site, and high speed access will definitely be a plus.

The purchase procedure area includes an explanation of the purchasing application process, and a downloadable purchase application form. These are located on the left, in gray tabs that you may miss if you are not looking.

Be sure to go to the "features" area which includes lots if images including a good picture of the new V-10 engine. You'll get a feel for the new more traditional intake (although the cross brace hides much of it)..... gone is the bundle of snakes intake and twin throttle bodies.

You know, it is questions like that, that can KILL a great project like this.

Viper Competition Coupe- A RACE CAR.

If you want a street car then buy one, there are hundreds of choices. All it will take is ONE person actually driving a Viper CC on the street, and you will see the WHOLE program AXED. Please use your heads. Let's not be the cause of the demise, but rather the promotion of it's TRACK SUCCESS!

Steve - thanks for the heads up - I hope that the rigorous screening of the potential owners will **** out anyone that would even consider doing such a thing to the car (making it street legal) Egads! Blasphemy!

I would suspect that this car WILL NOT have a VIN that will be able to be insured and/or registered. There is a specific agreement that is included in the application that says non-racers or collectors need not apply.

Due to the exclusivity of the car and the number of racers who probably want one, AND the easily verifiable membership into the Viper racing community - I suspect that the collectors will be quickly eliminated from contention.

For the street drivers - let's not forget one of the other things that this coupe hints at - a GTS most likely WILL be produced and will look very similar to this car - and probably won't take the 5 years that we have originally feared. So - hang in there - I think a coupe is in the works.

Steve and Janni are absolutely right. This car was built for a specific mission. It has taken years to get it this far so, let's hope no one blows it by making ridiculous statements in a public forum. IT's a RACECAR! The 03 RT-10 is for the street. If you are willing to wait than there may be a similar legal street version available in the near future.
