Please note that Viper Days is a driving school and not racing, so if you want to learn car control and learn what your car can do in a controlled environment, Viper Days at Putnam Park is for you! Is is a safe 1.7 mile track with fields of green grass all around!

MANDATORY FIRST EVENT EVER WITH VIPER DAYS:
If this is your first event I will need each driver to fill out the 2008 application and the 2008 Med+Stats form before coming to the event. Please click on the link below to get to the forms. TRACK CONFIGURATION: We will be running the FULL course ALL 3 Days! clockwise!

SRT/10 RULES: If you have an SRT/10 you must have a roll bar for your car in order to run at the track. You can use for FREE one of 6 sets of roll hoops from Viper Days for the entire weekend!! Please call in advance to make sure you get a hardtop for they do sellout.

HOTEL INFORMATION/ADDITIONAL HOTELS: The host hotel the Walden Inn still has rooms available. 24 rooms available for Thur pm, 18 rooms available for Fri & Sat. GATE HOURS: Friday: 6:30am-7pm, Saturday: 6:30am-7pm, Sunday: 6:30am-7pm

TRACK HOURS: Friday: 8:30-6:00, Saturday: 8:30-6:00, Sunday 8:30-6:00

TRAILER AND RIG PARKING The track will be open to accept parking on all day Friday starting at 7am. You could also park in hotel lot or in the streets! NO THURSDAY DROP OFF!!!

CAMPERS & MOTORCOACHES NOT ALLOWED to camp on the grounds overnight. Move outside the gates to sleep

TECH INSPECTION:
Will occur Friday from 11am-6pm; Saturday beginning at 6:30am

Viper Days, Inc. will be offering a Friday Test & Tune day for advanced drivers. No rookies are allowed. 8:30am-6pm we will be running 2-3 run groups all day!! $395 full day no lunch and $295 for half day no lunch 1-6pm. Call Courtney for approval if you have questions. 847-612-4335

ADVANCED DRIVERS PROGRAM: There are 2 spaces available!!
The Advanced Performance Driving (APD) program is a comprehensive four day course designed to enable a driver to fully understand track analysis and to apply appropriate cornering and braking techniques; to assess car handling on-track and to adjust tires and suspension components for optimum performance; and to integrate a broad spectrum of learning in the areas of car preparation, track etiquette, practice techniques, safety and nutrition, to maximize high performance driving proficiency.

FRIDAY PM:
The Friday night registration/reception party will be held at the host hotel, Walden Inn which is located in the town of Greencastle, from 6-9pm. If you are not able to make it to this night please get to the track early Saturday at 6:30am to register.

SATURDAY PM: Sponsored by: David Mazyck & Family
The Sat banquet will be at the track in the Walden Inn. 6:45 cocktails; 7:15pm dinner. It will be a buffet so no food selections are needed.

TIRE ORDERS :LAST DATE TO ORDER TIRES IS JULY 30th
PLEASE order your tires by Wednesday July 30th . Archer Racing is the Exclusive provider of trackside, tire mounting and balancing, and sales. Those needing Michelin, Hoosier or any other tires please call ahead and order them so they can bring them to the track. Please call Rick at 218-727-4806 You can also email Rick at [email protected]. If you do NOT meet the deadline, please still call for they will have extra tires available.

FIRST TIME DRIVERS: Michelin Tire needs
Any drivers tires that are over 4 years old should be considering replacing them for the track. Reason being, tires deteriorate with age, they get hard without the oils in the tires and they loose their grip. We are more than willing to bring Michelin tires to the track to fill your needs but we will need to know by Wednesday July 30th so they can be ordered and delivered to the track. Tech. inspection will occur all day Friday at the track or Saturday morning. Please join us for hors d’oeuvres, drinks and some Viper Tales. A Viper tech inspection tip: empty your glove box and trunk at the hotel instead of the track.

Classroom instruction begins at 8:30 AM, Banquet at the Walden Inn 6:45 cash bar / dinner at 7:15PM. If arriving on Saturday morning, be at the track by 6:30 AM for registration and tech inspection.
