Hello all...am new here. Need input about best places to buy new 2004 SRT-10. I know that on my old Corvette forum, you couldn't talk about dealers or their "deals". Don't want to violate any policies here, so would appreciate your feedback...about a dealer(s) or policy on this line of discussion. As to the purchase, I live in Greensboro, NC and don't mind flying anywhere in the USA to buy the Viper and drive it home. Maybe there is someone in or near Greensboro, NC with a Viper that I could look at and better yet, take a ride in. Thanks for any help you can offer...
Mike

Did you get my email?

I also know where there is a new 2003 Red SRT-10 that can be bought from a local dealer for invoice or maybe less.

I also suggested contacting me for names of other dealers that are very reputable, but out of the area.... (i.e. Woodhouse, Tator, Roanoke, etc.)

Thanks Janni! I did receive your email. I'm looking for a 2004 Silver SRT-10 and noted that Woodhouse had many in stock.

You've made a great decision in moving to the SRT-10. The car simply rocks on all levels! As for securing your best deal on one, you may wish to check dealers that support the VCA. That would be a good start. Also, take a look on yabE just in case someone needs to turn one for cheap. Good luck finding your best deal and getting into the driver's seat fast. Spring is here and so is great the weather. Don't miss out! :2tu:

Thanks fellow members! Your response is much appreciated and I enjoyed each and every piece of input. I will be looking at a cash purchase, so the specific dealer location is not very important. I have some good leads from ya'll and I don't mind flying somewhere and driving the new SRT10 back....UNLESS, I get input to indicate that taking a new Viper on 500 to 1,000 mile trip with only 8 miles or so on it is a very bad idea???? I'm very familiar with the prescribed break-in routine for Vettes...maybe the Viper is more demanding, etc...? I admit I would not be happy driving home all those miles at 40-50 mph! But if it is not a risky move, I would enjoy the long drive, savoring nature and the new Snake at the same time.

The only comment of mine that was not addressed, was that of a chance to see and ride in a Viper...here in NC and maybe close to Greensboro. I've never ridden in one and only sat in a dealer's ACR (?) a few years ago. Being retired, I have nothing but free time and would love to see one up close and personal before making a purchase (DUH). I have not seen a Viper in the Greensboro area.

Thanks again for great feedback...

contact me offline and I can put you in touch with an SRT owner in your area. M&L Motors also offered to have a car there that you could drive and they are right around the corner. Call John Cole and discuss.

The guys at www.undergroundracing.com are in Charlotte. I'm sure they would be glad to refer you to some of their customers who are in the VCA. Being good VCA members I would think they would enjoy "showing you around" a viper for the purpose of a more informed purchase descision.

Words don't desribe the driving experience nearly as well as putting some miles on one.
