Viper GTS at the Ford Test Track, UK

This was a charity day for the Little Havens children's trust.
We were giving joy rides around the Test track all day, I used 2 1/2 tanks of fuel! Still it was for a good cause and I had a great day. My best run was 140mph on the back straight and 90mph on the banking We had 4 Vipers there in the day and Nadine's Super performance Daytona Cobra, dam that thing is fast, She was getting over 150mph on the back straight and no matter how hard I tried, I could not catch her! ........Women Drivers

Best speed was by Dominic who managed 160mph on the back straight in his SRT

was a big surprise when i turned up with Fatboy to find 3 other SRTs there! Over here the Gen1s & 2s almost always outnumber the later models (yet to see a G4...!).

Yep, felt like one too in my GTS, my suspension was set up too soft and I was bouncing around all over the place trying to catch that dam Daytona Cobra

When Nadine got home and checked her front discs on the Daytona, she found she had cracked both fronts due to heat!!!
She did confess to me at the weekend just gone that she had to watch her rear view mirror as she knew if she missed a gear or braked a bit earlier I would be right on her tail

As for the track, it was OK if you went round the banking at 50mph, but if you went around it at 85 / 90mph on normal set up suspension the car bounced around all over the place, such was the down force and compression that i even shaved the edges of my aluminum side splitters
