Viper Guru\'s needed!

Had new front facia put on car by body shop and the bottoms of the bottom two holes which lead into the radiator bulge up. Is there something they didn't fasten down? Here's a pic of what I mean.

Funny you should post this....I just fixed that same problem on my Viper. Even the cross-hairs were warped, more so on the driver's side. What I did was that I removed the entire front fascia. Has many bolts below and 11 push-in clip things. I have pics that I need to develope. I took those cylinder-like pool floating things, but in the shape of a pool mattress. I "filaid" a long enough segment to make (2) 16 inch pieces that were 3 inches wide. I got 5 tubes of the liquid epoxy and mixed it together. I then epoxied one side ot the filling foam and the other of the internal fascia. Do one side at a time. Place 1 piece above the fascia and one below, then close them with 5 or 6 spring loaded clamps. Do the other side and let dry over night.

For that bottom piece that you indicated, I got a piece of 1 inch wide, 3 millimeter thick and about 34 inch long. I shaped it to a sort of "half moon or crescent shape". Then apply the epoxy, wood and clamps. Let dry and you are half done!

When it is all dry, remove all the wood and clamps. You are done! Now put back the fascia like you found it. Ask Gerald, he saw my work this weekend, and it looks great! I also cut out a hole on the hood where the dummy "speaker grill" is to remove more hot air. I cleaned it up, painted it and put a mesh where the new hole is. So far it works great. If anyone has any more questions, mail me and I'll give you my phone #.

Yup,

Antwan did a great job. Looks like a new fascia if you see it. His was warped so bad it must've been deflecting airflow to the radiator..

Vip-RT 10:

Thanks for the info! I am not body repair literate,
but I will give this info to my body man. I am not
even going to attempt it.

P.S. - Looks like we're back to bonding again.
