This year I went to my brother, who lives in Spain, with the Viper. I did rather go with my Supermoto (KTM 660 SMC), but my girlfriend was afraid of me driving as an idiot and falling in a canyon.
Now I'm back and can say that it was a great trip. I had planned the route to Spain by mostly by back and canyon roads. In 3 days I drove 1500 miles.
Becaus of the high temperature (more than 105 F) on the way back to home I took 900 miles highway and about 100 miles back roads in 1 day.
Here some pics.

Guys - I notice you both may apply to answer this question, being in Europe.

Whats it like to own a Viper in Europe as compared to the USA? I imagine the rarity of the car is even greater, does it get much respect over there?

I wonder what it would be like, that is why I ask. I'm sure it varies per country. Tomorrow I'm going to be in Portugal for business, so maybe I'll answer my own question over the next week =D

Well Chris, I only shipped the car to enjoy for a month. Every minute people look at car.Its like an Enzo would be in America I guess..They really bug out. But it's not a place to have the car if it breaks down. There are a few dodge dealers but none of them have a clue what this car is...I just got back from a long day with car. It was one of the best days I had. We went in Athens, which was wild. There was not on eperson on the road that didnt ask me what kind of car it was. We drove below the acropolis and there was a tour bus filled with Americans..They all freaked out. They were saying, look look..A Viper..I got a kick out of that. Its a real head rush, thats all I have to say..I have another 9 days with car before I ship out. I am leaving to Crete Sunday. When I get back only 2 days with her then I ship her out again..If I had to do it again I would say no..Once is enough..I get really picky with the car and I cant park her anywhere..She's gotta be right in front of my eyes..Hope I answered your question...

Thanks for the pics! It is great to see a Viper in different surroundings. Is your car lowered in the front? I am guessing so as it looks awfully mean. It is great to hear you made the entire trip without an incident.

Thanks guys..(en jij ook Yves)
The attention the car attracts in the south of Europe is way different than in Holland. Even motorcyclist wave you goodbye. At gas stations there will even be some traffic and when I was pulling through a McDrive, all the personnel was looking at the window. People in Spain are shouting "Bipper" (=Viper) out of there car.

@ BleuGTS, the car has Eibach lowering springs.
I had a little problem with the fuse of the radiator fan, but that was fixed by a garage.
