Viper Recall 998 Steering and Differential Frame Repair Launched today

Here you go guys,

Through my lemon law case with DC, I have met some good friends in the zone office and DM.

Recall 998 has been launch by DC today 5/16/2002,
let the repairs begin.

DaimlerChrysler Has Recalled the 1996-1999 Dodge Viper was offically launched today Daimler Chrysler.

The NHTSA Recall No. 01V312/DaimlerChrysler Recall No. 998,
Viper Recall for Steering and Differential Frame Repair.

Anyone in doubt or want more info, just have you local dealer pull your VIN # on service/warantee history and it will pop up as follows:

Recall number: 998
Description: Steering and Differential Frame Repair
Launch Date: 5/16/2002

I sent a copy to ViperMad Tony,

I also did not check if they Launched the Viper recall 999 which covered 2000 model year, for the same problem.

I assume they did.

There wont be any lines. There are no parts for the recall yet. This will go the same path as the 5-Point Seat Belt Recall! It will be a year off before you will be notified by mail.

You as a customer find out about recalls well before any Dealer is notified. It drives me crazy when they do this!

The minute I get something Official I will post it!
