The Viper registry has the 2000 cam specs the same as the 96-99 in the open and closing degrees on the intake and exhaust. This is incorrect. I question this as the 96-99 cams have 6 more degrees of over lap. Long story short here are the proper cam specs for the 96-99 year 708 cam and the 2000 cam sorry I dont have any other data on newer years
96-99
Intake opens 23.5 degrees
Intake closes 86.5 degrees
Exhaust opens 82.5 degrees
Exhaust closes 42.5 degrees
Intake duration 290 Intake center line 121.5 degrees
Exhaust duration 305 Exhaust centerline 110 degrees
Valve over lap 66 degrees
recommend install at 119 = 2.5 degrees advanced
2000
Intake opens 23.5 degrees
Intake closes 86.5 degrees
Exhaust opens 88.5 degrees
Exhaust closes 36.5 degrees
Intake duration 290 Intake center line 121.5 degrees
Exhaust duration 305 Exhaust centerline 116 degrees
Valve over lap 60 degrees
recommend install straight up as it is a cream puff with fast bleed down lifters.
Thought everyone would like this info as the 708 cam is so very popular to install as an OEM replacement.
