And the clutchless rotary shifter appears to be just than on the upshifts. But on the downshifts, he appears to use the clutch.
With the internet, I think it is interesting that I have never run across the exotica used in high end sports car racing and ralley cars too.
The most I have seen are the various drag racing setups and the occasional Tilton RR clutch.
For one thing, the ralley cars are as sophisticated as the F1 cars yet where do the drive trains and suspension come from?
I don't think people are out there building their own transmissions from scratch - but then - maybe they are factory race transmissions.
So what kind of transmission/shifter does this Viper have?
