Many felt that Mid Ohio would be a tough track for the Viper to qualify well, and unfortunately this has become prophetic. The Caddys and Porsches are on the top with the first Viper ( as usual ) being Tommy Archer - though over two seconds back of Wolf Henzler's Pole Position. Frustrating for us all, but let's hope the Snake Stalwarts can run clean and move up through some attrition.

Times for qualifying are listed below;

7. Tommy Archer 1:28.747
9. Mike McCann 1:29.033
10. Phil McClure 1:29.459
13. Bob Woodhouse 1:29.625
18. Jim McCann 1:30.676
21. Rich Marziale 1:30.893
22. Tim Wiens 1:30.976
27. Peter Tonelli No Time

The race is this afternoon with the tape delay on 5/28/5.

Damn tape delay. I bought SPEED primarily to follow this series and I can't even watch it live.

Good luck to all. My money is on Woodhouse having a good run this time. #13 qualifies 13 has got to cancel out any bad luck.
