Im of the opinion that VIR wont allow a gen3 vert on the track without a rollbar.Anybody here that can confirm that?Im getting mixed info on this.

I am a VIR member and yes that is confirmed. In fact they would need to approve a rollbar if you install one. The Autoform one is the way to go. They approved it on my 03 even though they didn't like that it was a dual hoop instead of a single hoop. However, given they approved it there is precedent. Need to pass the broom stick test too, so scrunch down or lower the seat.

No I didn't paint it I left it black. Had to get it ordered and installed quickly as I was running the car in the One Lap of America and hadn't planned ahead far enough. Autoform only had black in stock. There was a guy in an 03 Vert that had the Autoform roll hoops certified for VIR before me. He cleared the path. Don't remember his name but he wrecked his Viper at VIR at turn 4, he put it right over the fence. Took the crews a long time to figure out how to get the car back over the fence. Guy was ok. VIR used a racing company in the area to review the roll bars. All I did was call them and reference the guy before me. He had told me that it was a real pain to get the hoops certified. The techs didn't like dual hoops because they said that they could did in on a roll over. Good luck.
