LOL this reminds me of VOI 9 when people were so excited about the 08, and they got nada, and there was a huge thread of "OMG", and "No Way" and "Im pissed'.

I heard it at our last club meeting from our IL president. No details yet but I did hear from someone else Detroit as a possiblilty but weather is a concern. I thought Florida or Texas would be good. I just would like to see it someplace that we are fairly sure the weather will cooperate.

Yeah, definitely let us know what you find out - sounds exciting and hope it is true!! But I wouldn't book your flights just yet...
It could be Jan/Feb in Detroit to include the first-ever Viper freeway drifting competition, with several shops on-site to assist with any repairs ...
It would be great to see a VOI10, last year was alot of fun in Vegas. I think Vegas is the perfect spot, but I know its far for alot of the East coast people. Just like if they have it in Florida or somewhere out there, alot of us West coast people wont go. Its hard to please everyone. I guess wherever the best weather, best track, parking and hotel are at, should be the spot. I just hope its close to California, a VOI is no fun without your own car. Just my opinion. It was alot of fun last year in a caravan of 60-70 Vipers rolling down the highway. And the best part was being in my own car on the track. They need to work on their dinner shows though....

It should be in Kansas, right in the middle of the country so everyone could come. There's KS Speedway and Heartland park with the drag strip and road course. Works for me.
I think Dodge should take the '08 Viper back to Lemans next year, and that VOI-10 should be at an AMLS venue so we can all see and cheer for a Viper team ... (but, paleeze, no presentations on the Dodge Sprinter)

Let's not forget the stupid magic show.
Not to mention them pimping the Sprinter and Ram chassis and the SRT tech session being nothing but a sales presentation on every SRT BUT the Viper.

Vegas was great I loved it and would go back. You are right it would not have been as much fun without my car. I had mine shipped out and it was expensive but worth it so if it is out this way you can have yours shipped.

I agree, its a Viper thing, keep it "mostly" Viper related. I think it would be Ok to do a 10 minute talk on What Dodge is producing the coming year, show a few pics of the models and move on. And if the Banquet room is big enough, like last year, it should have ONLY SRT vehilces aprked inside. We care about speed, handling and looks and most of the SRT vehicles fit that, so showcase those. Dont put a sprinter or Box van in there.
And tech session should only be Viper related, unless someone in audience asks a specific question about his other SRT vehicle.
I know Dodge needs to market its product when/where it can,but it was a little overboard last year. Keep us interested with speed and handling, tell us more about our Future Vipers to come.
I'll bet it's an internal budgeting issue. The Viper marketing team probably gets to shift some of the cost of the event over to other products when they give those products a role at the event...

Given the choice would people prefer a VOI with some input from marketing, or no VOI at all.
If other products are going to be promoted at VOI perhaps the professional thing to do would be to announce it in advance and let people know what the deal is.
(Maybe I was the only one that truly had an interest in the new Sprinter as a delivery vehicle for my company.)

I've got to agree with that! For those of you that haven't attended, even my wife thought it was one best events she's been too. I can sit through a few minutes of marketing for that price, an absolute bargain in the Viper world. The best money you will ever spend as an Viper owner bar none!

I agree with Chris ... Any VOI will be great!!! Just hope were lucky enough to have a VOI 10 ... What an awesome way to showcase the 08 car ... Will travel anywhere!!!
