VOI drags:THE REAL STORY

We all had it hanging out before the drags.A few runs later some of us,myself included had to zip it up.Only thing I was happy with was two runs with consistant mph of 134.Best of 11.2 with 2.060ft.
Order of respect starts with ET,then comes MPH,then comes how much did you spend to get there.
All the tuners were cool and left their internet attitude at the shop.
Special thanks to the Heffner's performance crew who dragged us to Nashville until 5am thursday.Looking forward to the next rained out event!

I'd say we all agree on one thing,a rematch of the monsters needs to happen before VOI8.How bout a two day event with the 1st night test and tune winding up with an all class bracket race,second day similar to VOI7 drags.
Lastly ,Bigger thanks to Prasant,kingman,VOIguys and gals,JohnBBBBBBB(who else would do it)for giving us all a hollywood style chance.

You know I'm definitely down for some more drag racing. No problem on the dragging you out until 5 am. Thanks for the advice on what to do next time a cop tries to pull me over.

Toofast cool post i think you have a good perspective on this subject, it seems to me you are out there trying to lay down better numbers each time you go out. To me that means tenths which is ET. your mph might not change but if you hook your ET can surely drop. Keep riding that horse.

Let me guess what TOOOFST's philosophy was on cops pulling you over, Something about having to earn it. In the famous words of me and TOOOFST "did we just pass a cop, oh well"

A great thanks to all you guys at the drags. This was my first time drag racing, and I had a blast. My girlfriend enjoyed it so much, she was telling me I need to go buy slicks and practice more often!

Scott, thanks for giving a fellow Chicagoan some tips. My reaction times were horrible (1 second or worse) until you gave me the talk. I was then able to go out and post a .509 and a .541 on my next two runs!

I'll never forget the TOOFAST method. I have to wait till I get off probabation before I try it though!

I second that. I keep a roll in the truck. We had a member lose his top on the RT... I always D/T mine down.
