Hey guys, just wondering if I should wait to get an alignment done after the eiabchs are put in? Should you let the suspension settle? The reason I ask is, I'll likely get the dealer to put them on, and it would be convenient to get the alignment done while I'm there.

Well scratch that idea, the dealer charges $700.00. I have heard you can do this job with a $20.00 spring compressor. Is this job really as easy as 2 bolts to get each shock on and off, use a $20.00 spring compressor to compress the spring, pop it off, pop in the eibach, and bolt back on?

It's a 3 hour job if you have a helping hand and a spring compressor. You will need an alignment after getting the springs installed. The ride height will change (the car will obviously be lower) and therefore you will have more negative camber and will need an alignment.

I'm going to do it myself, and will have my shocks rebuilt while they are off the car. Everything thing I've gathered seems to say you just take the wheel off, remove two bolts, swap the springs, reinstall and repeat.

I have heard some guys say they took the shocks/springs to a shop with a hydraulic compressor to make the swap...

Just get one of these.

spring compressor

This will make it a piece of cake, even by yourself. I have done this several times. If you get stuck feel free to give me a call. PM sent.
