Wanted, pics of \'dummy\' roof scoops

I've been to a few sites of the Viper goodies companies that advertise on here, but can't seem to find any pics / prices for the stick-on roof scoop, GTSR style. Can anyone help? Many thanks.

Thanks, I agree it does look nice.

Is it a solid piece, ie is the scoop duct bit just blacked out, or is it actually like a scoop and hollow?

Nadine,
It is a solid piece, but looks very good, and it is the same piece they are using on the Daytona Limited Edition. They didn't want a scoop that caught air, whistled, etc. since it is non-functional. I believe they also make a functional scoop that requires cutting into the roof to bring cool air onto the driver.

Re: Wanted, pics of \'dummy\' roof scoops

We have been working on a carbon fiber non-functional scoop as another addition to our carbon fiber product line. Thus far, our line includes NACA hood ducts, hood louvers, and side door panels.

The main issue with a non-functional roof scoop is how to secure it to the roof without drilling. The only concern I have with the autoform one is how well it holds on at high speeds. With only some 3m strips stuck to the edges, I woould worry it would fly off. Autofrom has a NICE functional scoop that really works and is securely mounted to the roof with drilling.

The design we are working on involves a very strong adhesive that covers the entire bottom of the scoop. We'll keep you posted.

For those of you who did not attend our parts showcase, all of our carbon fiber products are clearcoated and can be maintained just like your paint; Z-6, Z-3, and Z-5!
Thanks!

Re: Wanted, pics of \'dummy\' roof scoops

Nadine,
I would look closely at the non functional roof scoop before purchasing; some things look better at a distance...

I personally liked the look of the non functional peice until I noticed how fake the air intake looked; it is just a flat black painted surface on the front of the unit, gag..

If this was recessed it would look much better but I would personally go with a functional unit that could be closed during inclement weather or nothing at all..
