Was Conoly leather ever offered in '03-'05 SRT10? More specifically was it offered with Silver? I have owned red RT/10's and Blue/White GTS, form what I understand, Silver is the faster color. Was Silver ever offered with Conoly leather or only the Black/Gray by those years.

Thanks.

Connolly Leather was only offered in Gen II models and not all years. They never made it beyond that because the company went out of business due to "Mad Cow" disease. The herds were descimated and there were too few left for breeding , hence a long heralded British business ceased to exist.

Since we are adding trivia: Connelly was the upholsterer for the SPITFIRE Fighter of WWII. They went banko in 2002. Final Ed 2002 Vipers were among the LAST OEM cars to offer Connelly leather.

And in Gen 2, the Connelly Leather Interior Option cost Dodge approx $300 more than they charged buyers for it! At a time when Viper was trying to be profitable, some insiders bemoaned every order. You did get a LOT of brown elements for the $$! ASSuming you liked that basketball-orangey-brown look. (I do)

PS The TAN options of 1994-5 and 09-10 are NOT "Connelly" Leather....

Is this a serious statement?

Even thought Bill P is a used car salesman, he is [again] telling the truth! Slaughter of many cattle in UK was mandated..... maybe an UK owner can pipe-up here?

Connelly leather was not only a company, also a process, and a ******* line.... no barbed wire was used to contain the herds! Parasites prevented; and barns-paddocks etc were all constructed to protect the leather from cuts and blemishes. But when ONE "downer Cow" appeared with BSE, the whole herd was cremated....

Sorry Jon, I izz primarily a new Car salesman , with well over 50% of my total sales every year being brand new Snakes! I do occassionally sell used Snakes, but nothing wrong with being a Used Viper Salesman!

Well you will probably be right , but thanks to our huge allocation we still have around twenty 2010s left , even though we have sold over 50 already. Gotta agree that I will definitely be selling alot more used Snakes in 2011, but fortunately since we ended up #1 in the Nation last month, I am not adrift on an island with nothing else to sell.

2012 will be another story and good for all of the Viper faithful.

" MAD COW DISEASE "

Dang you just went up another notch in the Viper Sales League from " The Real Deal " to " The Ultimate Real Deal " on product knowledge BP. I can just imagine when you were writing that order up on that Gen 2 Viper & your client said I would like to order the Connolly Leather option as well please and you looked up at Mr.& Mrs. Viperholic and Uttered the words " Sorry it's unavailable due to " MAD COW DISEASE ", so how's about a new Stainless Steel Exhaust system instead? :2tu:

All in good fun,
Toddy

Wow great looking interior. I don't know how they spent that much on a Viper interior. I have done quite a few restorations and have never spent anywhere near that much cash for an interior. Looks good though!

Thanks Bill P for another bit of Viper trivia. I have been a big fan of the Connolly Leather Interior (much better than that Corinthian Leather Ricardo Montalban used to sell in those other cars). I was able to buy an RT/10 with Connolly leather when another buyer opted out because he did not want that interior. Now that I just bought an ACR from you, I have both interiors available.
BTW, should i be worried about getting Mad Cow disease from my Connolly leather? I guess the tanning process would take car of those nasty prions!:lmao:

Oh come on PAvenomRT10, you are acting udderly ridiculous. Sorry , I had to milk another bad joke outa that one, but then I guess you could tell folks your Viper is beefed up! Any cars get in your way, remember you have a Connolly Viper, and tell them to mooo- ve over. Frankly , I am glad someone steer-d you in the right direction and just hang in there and don't let anyone horn in on your fun.

I was in the UK during that time, and ate nothing even close to meat...pasta, potatoes please! Never thought to associate it with leather interiors, but they got rid of a huge number of cows (don't know the % of their total cow population).

Interesting discussion though and great trivia!:D
