Was there a \"Street\" Comp Coupe @ VA/DC autoshow in Dec.?

I spoke to a buddy of mine in VA and he said he saw the new 600 HP
Viper Coupe at the VA/DC Autoshow before Christmas.
My buddy is a Porsche guy and appreciates the Viper
and he was very impressed and excited when speaking
to me about the new 600 HP viper.
He indicated it was a race car for the street.
Not a convertible.
Anyone see the car he was talking about.
He added it was ready for the street and not a track only car.
Sounded like the real deal.
He did not have a camera or any pictures.
The Viper nation wants to know what is the real deal.

Not that I saw. 2 Vipers. One at Dodge (same display as last year) and one at ASC that was poorly shown (bad lighting, not in a visible area, etc.).

He may have been referring to the ME 4-12. The Chrysler supercar concept/prototype.

I have a hunch he is refering to the SRT-10 with the carbon fiber hood, hardtop, and trunk lid. I think it has a two-tone paint scheme, and was said to have like 625 HP or something like that.

When the pics were first posted here, some scorned it, saying it looked like a Z06. The hardtop did have a hint of Z06 hardtop to it, but thats as far as that went. The rest of it looked pretty radical. Powerful and light!

Vic is right - your buddy is referring to the carbon fiber Viper that was first shown at SEMA last October. 625 HP and a weight savings of around 200 lbs.

It wasn't there unless it was hiding in the GM display. Just kidding. No it wasn't there.
