We fried some Rice last night

Last night a handful of VCA members were out at the Bradenton Dragway. We finally got Larry Macedo to race one of his clients cars (which he usually won't do), Vern's magazine show car. A Honda race car, weighing some 1600 lbs wanted a shot at the Mean GTS. Larry took an easy pass in the GTS and handed the Honda a healthy dose wup a$$. After the race the ricer wanted a second chance, Larry told him he would have to beat my LS1 F-body to get another race. My GTS is in his shop getting some cosmetics. My LS1 has a mild cam and exhaust, otherwise stock weighing in with driver at some 3800+ lbs, I pulled a .01 Reaction time (old system a .501) I left the little race Honda at the tree and never saw him again, I think he drove straight to his trailer and went home. It was great to experience the buddy system of the VCA, even though I beat the ricer in a Chevy I came back to a cheering group. This club is great.

What was your time in the LS1?

John did a 12.6 in his Camero against the Honda with no interior and only a racing seat. The Honda when he launched was bouncing against his rev limiter. I think the Honda did a .502 reaction time.

The interesting thing is that John pulled off a .501. Bradenton Motorsports.... <font color="blue"> Home of the Florida V- 10 Nationals </font> ......just installed its new timing system with new tree. The tree is all leds, it does NOT have the slow glow between each light, it has instant on and off between the lights because of the leds.

What was your time in the LS1?

Best I had that night was a 12.55 at about 113 mph, not bad for a little chevy on drag radials, but I miss my Viper I hoped to have it back by Thursday.

I actually did two .501's during practice the night before the V10 Natty's. I practice every time I hit a red light in town.
