Re: What happened to the topic\"headers\"

Good question. Not enough back pressure causing confusion for the computer? Not enough learning time between runs? What happened to a/F ratio? That Corsa like mine has nothing inside it.just some slots to dampen resonance.Virtualy straight pipes.Could be the system was optimized for use with cats and stock header. How was the sound w/o cats?I am thinking of stock header+no cats+Corsa.Anyone ask Corsa what they thought was going on? Hey Vipera, just so I understand. You now have the high flow cats on the car and it still dynoed about the same as no cats, 407rwhp? Just wondering because I had the same set up as you except for Belanger headers and the anti-creampuff cam

How about posting a dyno graph so we can see what it looks like.

My understanding is that when you are showing a check engine light for the headers or cats the engine is set to run very rich killing any gain in power.

Vipera,

I dont know which dyno sheets you are looking at but from my view it looks like you gained 27hp at 4250rpm. And you gained power all through out the power band. Take a better look at your dyno sheet again, I bet your entire power band shifted up considerably. And anyone will tell you a flat power band is much better than a peaky one.
