I'm going to The Glen and my fronts were .300 and my rears .250 inches.

I had a set of new fronts (.450) and put them on.

I'm trying to figure out if my rears were worn proportionally to my fronts or is the Viper like other cars, the rears wear out much slower than the fronts?

If the rears had the same thickness as the fronts, they would wear out first!! So I'm guessing that is not the case.

Thanks,

Looks like the fronts wear marginally more than the rears.

However, they are pretty close so when you replace the fronts, you should do the rears.

Oh well, only doing the fronts will give me a little extra at The Glen.

Keep an eye on your rear pads. Prior to the first of two Viper Days this summer, I installed Porterfield R4 pads front and rear on my 2001 GTS. The rears wore out before the fronts did. A check of the brake system did not reveal any obvious reason for the premature wear -- I chalked it up to defective pads. But, you might want to check both front and rears before each session, just in case. (Don't assume the rears will wear less than the fronts.)
